It was an honor to arrange a welding event for Fahlander Arkitekter and SD Project in our forge workshop in Bromma. They wanted to test welding and gain a greater understanding of what they were drawing. The participants also wanted to see which machines we have in the forge workshop and how they work.
During the welding event, the 18 architects and designers got to try welding. We had rigged welding stations where the participants received a short introduction before they got to try practical welding. They got to try TIG, MMA (stick welding) and MIG welding. The participants also had to make a stand for pens/cutlery and try to write their name. Some were really skilled at welding even though they had never welded before. Others were itching to come back and go one welding course or come on spring metal craft.
