  • Picture of the month February 2021 - lamp fixtures

At the end of 2020, we manufactured at Lundgren's specially ordered lamp fixtures in wrought iron. We manufactured and assembled two frames for attaching the luminaires. There was a lot of iron in the fire when the ace went hot when we forged round rods and leaves. These were designed in consultation with the architect. Ässjan was used to heat the metal in order to process it properly. It was beaten and hammered like in a real smithy. A real craft!

The lamp luminaires are now in place on Jakobs torg 3 near Kungsträdgården. The customer is very satisfied. The luminaire part is approved and safety rated.

This project is a special forging job. We are happy to help find the best solution for forging and glass work where the solution is not clear from the beginning. Call us on 08-684 118 00 and we will tell you more. You can also email your request to anbud@smide.com

    Picture of the month

  • MONTHLY LETTER DECEMBER 2020 - Everything in forging & glass

The year is coming to an end and with a few glimpses and other important events we are going to the end of the year monthly letter summarize the past year. Just 2020 has without a doubt been a strange year that offered something that was unexpected. We had to adapt to new circumstances in order to continue to conduct our business as normally as possible.

    Some flashes of light

We started the year by moving into ours New facilities in Bromma. It is not often you get the opportunity to build a new forging workshop, which has been very fun! We thrive! Another flash of light was spring course activities which grew with as much as 160 % despite prevailing circumstances. We also went in as partner in a sheet metal & forging company in Norrköping. Our hope is that we together with The brothers Edding's Forging will become a strong player in the market and deliver world-class forging and glass!

To be involved and make a difference

Eezer is a project that is close to our hearts. Just before the pandemic broke out, there was a follow-up trip to Kenya. Since then, for obvious reasons, there has been a bit of silence. For that very reason, it felt extra good to end the year with that support music helpNo one should be left without care. By competing for an adventure trip to Kenya, we contributed SEK 43,400 in just over a day. For those of you who missed when the zealous Lars Klingsbo was in the program and told if the Burundi project can see it here. In 2021, we hope to be able to send a container down to Burundi with materials to start production of 50 crews. All to reduce maternal mortality in Africa with the help of motorcycle ambulances.

The hottest news of the year

You probably did not miss ours pizza steel for the perfect pizza? During the year, we developed ours webshop and developed how we can sell in a cost-effective way pizza steel at an unbeatable price. And, I must say that we succeeded well and that it opened new avenues!

    This year's challenge

It was not a record year for either our sales or profitability, but it was tough to succeed above all. sales. But with our now slimmer and more polished staff, we are on the right track. Here are some projects to remember from 2020 - security doors and glass, lots to the New Tramway Museum, canopy, facade forging and interior design for Biskopsudden's new restaurant, forging for Norrtälje bus depot, the handmade lamp luminaire and all gigantic flower boxes to different customers.

    Finally

We want to end this year with a big one THANKS to all. We look forward to a new year. We are tagged to together have fun when we create world-class forging & glass! Here are 12 moments from 2020 that also became winners in the competition picture of the month!

    HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Hope you get the best start to the new year!

  • Monthly newsletter October 2020 - everything in forging & glass

    How hard can it be?

Our vision is to have fun when we create sustainable forging & world-class glass. To get an idea of where we are, we did an exercise. Divided into groups, we would cross a line at the same time. An exercise that seems simple but that quickly turns out to be difficult. The exercise highlights the importance of a common goal, communication, leadership, planning and problem solving. Just like in our job. And surely it's a challenge to get all the pieces in place?

My strengths, your strengths - how do we complement each other?

Community is important for our success. That is why we are happy that we have such a wonderful group of skilled blacksmiths and project managers with different strengths, skills and experiences. To strengthen the community, it is important that we get to know each other better. This is so that we can gain an increased understanding of each other in different situations and how we can complement each other. It is not until we are welded together that we get a common will to reach the goal. When the we-feeling is strengthened, we also have more fun at work. It creates good conditions for good performance and a commitment that makes us unbeatable.

    To boost the team spirit

To build strong teams, we will focus on communication, roles and responsibilities linked to Lundgren's goals and vision. We will invent fun activities, tease each other, give feedback, look up and celebrate success. And we long until we can go on team trips again. But as long as the pandemic continues, we must adapt to the prevailing circumstances and make the best we can of the situation. Please come with suggestions!

    We welcome six new employees!

We want to welcome our new employees! Paddy recently joined us. A more skilled TIG welder you get to look for! Stefan also started his internship. He went one welding course in MMA welding this spring, got more taste and now wants to learn the profession. Great fun! We have also strengthened our strength with Niclas, who has extensive experience as a project manager in forging. And next week Jussi will make a comeback to take on a smaller forging job. In Norrköping, we welcome Pelle, who is starting as a project manager. Finally, the blacksmith Deividas will soon start Eddings. In other words, we have a strong squad that will deliver world-class forging and glass! And we want to be even more in Stockholm and Norrköping. So check out ours Available positions .

  • 2020-09 Monthly newsletter September 2020 - everything in forging & glass

This year's strategy day at the archipelago pearl Idöborg was a highlight and also a bit of a thriller out on the lake.

Our project managers met recently Idöborg to discuss vision, goals and strategy. We exchanged experiences between the companies and got to know each other, new and old colleagues.

That we have a shared vision and work towards the same goal is important for us to be able to do successful business. This leads to a greater commitment, a stronger community and an increased shared responsibility for us to achieve our goals.

Having fun when we create sustainable forging & world-class glass!

We look ahead and focus on opportunities for increased growth and better profitability. Here are some points we will work on on the way there:

    • COMMUNITYteamwork makes the dream work! Different strengths, behaviors, skills and experiences lead to success. Getting to know each other strengthens the we-feeling and results in us working better together to achieve the goals. But, above all, the job becomes more fun!
    • SATISFIED PEOPLE - when we get to do what we think is fun and skilled at, we become the most productive and efficient. Passion in turn brings joy. So if we take advantage of the will and expertise that exists, we can deliver world-class forging & glass. We can also expand the range of goods and services for today's and tomorrow's needs.
    • CREATE SOLUTIONS - with a happy mood, we will take on challenges and take responsibility for our own and the business's situation. It is allowed to make mistakes! We learn and find new opportunities to get better. If we have a positive attitude, look up and see new opportunities, we will solve most things.
    • QUALITY AND SUSTAINABILITY - our ambition is to deliver good quality in efficient production. We will also work actively for increased consideration for the environment and reduced climate impact through climate-smart solutions and recycling.

When the gang's team spirit was put to the test

To further strengthen the team spirit, we broke off with a joint kayaking. Some hesitated but eventually followed. It all started well with great kayaking in a beautiful archipelago environment and radiant sun. Then it suddenly blew up and everything changed from peaceful paddling to chaos.

It was tough to get ahead in the waves and a big challenge to keep the group together. Soon one of the participants overturned with his "steady" kayak while another got stuck on a cliff. Shortly afterwards, he too overturned in the cold water. The group's ability to work together and team spirit were put to the test. In the end, with the help of the guide and pepper from the group, they managed to get back in emptied kayaks and paddle on towards the goal, wet and frozen. Ruggedly nice to come ashore and I do not think that a hot sauna and a beer can sit as nicely at some point as after this trip.

    What a fighting spirit

I was taken by the fighting spirit in the group. Seeing their ability to solve new situations and work together towards the goal was impressive. Together we will be unbeatable!

PS Maximize the feeling of autumn coziness with a good pizza with the help of our unbeatable pizza steel for the perfect pizza!

Hot plates in a double sense

Right now we have an ongoing summer campaign on pizza steel and there is a high demand. But, is it really possible to bake pizzas as good as in a restaurant with a pizza steel? It works! The grill element in the oven heats the pizza steel to a very high temperature. When you bake the pizza, it gets heat from the steel from below as in a real pizza oven. The direct contact with the hot steel gives the pizza a crispy and good bottom. The pizza also gets heat from the grill element, which means that it gets a perfect baking. The steel can also be used as a frying table on the grill for fish, vegetables and meat. You can also bake bread on the steel.

Eager to test? Then you should take the opportunity to buy pizza steel for only SEK 344 this spring webshop

How does the coronavirus affect us?

So far, we have been relatively spared from the coronavirus and its effects. We have been able to conduct our business as usual based on the guidelines of the responsible authorities. Only a few smaller projects have been postponed to the future. Despite a high absence, we have managed to carry out our projects on time and the demand for our services within forge and glass has been great despite the crisis.

But we are likely to be affected in the long run, the question is just how? To what extent and in what way will it be built in the future? Will projects be postponed to the future due to the state's finances becoming more strained? Or will it invest in infrastructure? The questions are many and we do not know what is to come. We have left what was once to land in a new unknown place. During the journey, we must focus on selling, collaborating and looking up to find new ways. It is important that we face difficulties with a happy mood instead of complaining or depressing. Because if we have a positive attitude, expect something good and look ahead, we have a better chance of success!

    Lost sales

The fact that we are behind with the sale has nothing to do with the coronavirus, but it is a situation that we have put ourselves in. But with our slim, awesome staff, we are concentrating on interesting business and it feels like we are heading in the right direction. It bounces a little here and there and soon it will come loose. Then we will instead have too much to do but it is a luxury problem that is more fun to solve!

Maintenance and repairs will always be needed. So no matter what the effects of the corona crisis in the future, we should take action now service forging in greater occurence. We have received two framework agreements and it feels great!

    Bake pizza like a pro!

Right now you can buy ours pizza steel for only SEK 344! With the pizza steel, you can bake pizza in an ordinary young person as well as in a restaurant! In just a few minutes you can bake pizza, soft cakes and flatbread. The pizza steel can also be used on the outdoor grill to fry fish, vegetables and meat. Great for summer barbecue evenings! • Monthly newsletter April 2020 - everything in forging & glass

We are in a time of uncertainty, worry and change. And, how well you work under the prevailing circumstances! To cope with high absenteeism and challenges, we help each other. Therefore, we can continue to manufacture and assemble metal glass sections on the assembly line, do hearses, pizza steel, wrought iron railings and much more.

    We'll get through this together

We'll get through this and land the plane without crashing. This means that we must maintain the focus on sales, cooperate and be prepared to quickly solve what is not going as we have intended. We should face difficulties in a good mood instead of complaining or depressing. If we have a positive attitude, expect something good and look ahead, we have a better chance of success! We will continue to follow the advice and prompts from the responsible authorities and, based on this, conduct our business as normally as possible.

Create order in the forging workshop

Imagine that you go into the workshop and feel tagged and full of ideas how to do your job. You will immediately find everything you need, the machines are ready to use and you just have to get started!

An organized workshop makes the work both fun and efficient. The more order and order we have in the workshop, the easier it will be to find what we are looking for. It creates well-being and we save time! We can work more efficiently in a safer work environment with less conflict, etc. I am convinced that no one wants to start the day by cleaning for someone else or looking for drawings, materials, keys, tools, etc. in the nooks and crannies.

    How do we get there?

Using 5 Smethod, we can get order and find out in the workshop. We will:

    1. SORT - throw everything away unnecessarily! Only what is needed for the daily work may remain.
    2. SYSTEMATIZE - arrange all things and all equipment according to how often they are used. Mark with labels, markings on the floor, etc. Every thing should have its place!
    3. CLEAN - agree on a suitable cleaning level - the workplace must be ready for use! That we agree reduces the source of conflicts.
    4. STANDARDIZE Maintain order and make the cleaning and ongoing maintenance work.
    5. CREATE HABIT - everyone should continue with the daily cleaning, but to move forward we need to work with constant improvements.

5 S is thus more than just cleaning. Now we will together take 5 S to the next level. So up with the 5 S-boards, make an action plan and get started in the groups!

We wish you a nice Walpurgis weekend!

  • Monthly letter March 2020 - everything in forging & glass

Everyone is affected by the spread of the coronavirus, so are we. Right now it feels like we are on a plane on our way to an unknown destination. We are high in the air and on board there are both fear of flying and calm passengers. The plane sounds more than usual and we are exposed to turbulence and unpleasant impressions. Air pits cause the plane to suddenly sink and this is something that can be experienced as unpleasant even for those who are not afraid of flying. A feeling that now we are crashing we can suddenly appear…

But, we must continue to fly and focus on the goal even if conditions change rapidly. Adapting quickly to prevailing circumstances is important. We may have to change flight altitude or fly around an area to cope with unforeseen turbulence. The goal is still for the plane to land without crashing!

Today we do not know what consequences the corona pandemic will have. The goal is for us to get through this turbulent time and the challenges we face. Cooperation and a strong community are more important than ever right now. Without it, it will be difficult to perform forge and glass world class!

    Our course activities continue!

The interest in learning to weld and build their own objects in wrought iron continues despite the corona crisis. We will therefore continue to give everyone who is healthy the opportunity to learn welding. So check out our extended course offerings and sign up for a welding course!

No one wants to clean up after someone else

5 S is a forum where everyone is involved in creating order and order in our forging workshop. Now we have the most important piece left. Namely, to make work a routine in everyday life. It is not until it becomes unnatural to leave one's workplace in a state other than the very best that we know we have succeeded. It should be obvious to follow the agreements we come to. After Easter, we will divide everyone into groups with different areas of responsibility and continue working on the final steps 5 S.

    1. Sort
    2. Structure
    3. Clean
    4. Standardize
    5. Create a habit

All for an even better and safer workplace with higher well-being and better profitability!

  • MONTHLY LETTER FEBRUARY 2020 - everything in forging & glass

    Welcome to the family!

Finally, we can tell you that we have recently joined as a partner in a sheet metal & forging company in Östergötland. Great fun and exciting! We have a lot to gain from a collaboration. They know sheet metal & forging and we can contribute what we are good at. In addition, it will be easier to achieve a good result if we are helped through adversity and success. Together with Bröderna Eddings Smide, we will become a strong player in the market and deliver forge & glass world class!

We're going to grow so fast

We are well on our way to crossing a milestone in Lundgren's development, namely a turnover of 100 million by 2020. As a result of our own growth and acquisitions, we have increased in size. Here are some points we worked on:

    • SELL It all starts with sales!
    • COMMUNITY Teamwork makes the dreamwork!
    • 5 S Create and maintain order & order.
    • RECRUITMENT CV is history! A positive attitude and how to use your knowledge is more important!
    • PROFIT OWNER SYSTEM Take responsibility for sales and implementation of your own projects and you will get to see the results.
    • DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES The door is open for you who want to develop.

Our ambition is to continue to grow by finding more companies where our platform can be useful.

Now Eezer is in Africa to reduce maternal mortality

A new group is in Kenya to follow up the project of developing and implementing motorcycle ambulances for reduced maternal mortality. They will deliver a new crew to a clinic in Samuli in southern Kenya and follow up on some already delivered crews.

Do you want to get involved in Eezer? Then you are welcome to contribute exactly what you are good at or you can become monthly donor to take the work forward. To be part of making the world a little better is an indescribable feeling!

Eezer has a lot of exciting things going on. Among other things, materials for ambulances will be transported down to Burundi. After that, Eezer will set up a workshop on site where locals will be trained in building ambulances. As maternal mortality is a major problem in Burundi, carriages will make a big difference and save many lives.

Take a welding course with us this spring

Even if you have never held a weld before, you can easily join metal together with the help of a welding wire and build a table, for example. Eager to learn? Then you should check out ours supply because we have courses for all tastes, both for private individuals, companies and schools. With us, for example, an 80-year-old woman who has never welded before managed to get her first welding certificate.

    Now we're in place

I want to start by thanking the moving team for a fantastic job because now we are finally in place in the new forging workshop at Tornväktargränd in Bromma. It feels good when the machines run hot and a wonderful mix of music is played in the speakers when our skilled blacksmiths conjure up unique forging products.

It is not often you get the opportunity to build a new forging workshop, which has been fantastic fun. Our new forging workshop has many advantages, including the surface where there is an opportunity to grow and create a good and pleasant working environment. It also feels good that we are centrally located and can continue to provide fast service within forge & glass to our costumers!

Now we will speed up sales

We face (as always) a number of challenges. Next we need to speed up sales. Selling is not always easy but full of challenges. Either we can choose to blame yours and hers or we stop apologizing and drive on because it is full of interesting business. Peter and Martin feel tagged for the task of driving sales forward. Here are five tips on how we can speed up our sales:

    • Set aside time. Nothing is more important than selling. No but without realizing that your sales time is important!
    • Be quick. Get in touch with the customer quickly, leave quick quotes, give quick feedback, give fast deliveries, etc. No one likes to wait!
    • Build relationships. People want to do business with people and not with companies. So take good care of our customers at all levels!
    • Solve problems. Find out what the customer needs help with and solve it!
    • Exceed expectations. To retain the customers we already have exceed their expectations. If they are satisfied, they will buy more and provide good references.

Remember that no one is the best at everything, so exchange experiences and lessons, pep and help each other with the challenges that arise. Together we have lots of knowledge and strengths that allow us to deliver world-class forging and glass. Everything from beams and steel stairs to glass sections and shelf brackets. In other words, small and large. We are experts in special forging, something that others in the industry find difficult to perform. It is a privilege that we have so many skilled blacksmiths! So what do you say, do you accept the challenge?

    Great interest in welding

The interest in learning to weld is great, so we have expanded the range of courses with, among other things, metal handicraft, welding evenings and weekend courses. For five years, our experienced blacksmiths have trained in welding and hundreds of course participants have received approved welding tests. So check out ours welding courses and take the chance and try something new either as a course participant or course leader.

    Nice weekend!

  • Monthly newsletter December 2019 - everything in forging & glass

What do we remember from 2019?

Wow what a year it has been! The parable of a roller coaster is quite apt for the year. Expectantly, you sit in the carriage and it becomes a journey both up and down and with a loop in the middle. When it is at its scariest, a feeling suddenly arises that you want to get off the car, but it is not possible. It goes away and suddenly you are back where it all started and happy that it is over. A fun, exciting, cool or awful experience, depending on who you are.

2019 is a year that I will soon forget with many great challenges that we together have helped to overcome. Here you get some glimpses from the year.

The year began shakily with low sales. It was tougher than we had predicted to succeed with the sale through our investment with new project managers as our old experienced foxes retired. Until we got Lundgren's biggest project of all time. It was an outstanding team that struggled with steel frames and sheet metal cassettes on Fridhemsplan during a very tight schedule this summer. The gang showed that they could solve the task in a good way in time.

No summer without a summer torment

It was a real push to get us through the liquidity crisis that we ended up in for various reasons. We had to get out of the slump completely icy cold when we saw a glimmer of light. So after a few sleepless nights, we managed to recover the cash and also break records! This meant that we could finance the purchase of our new one forging workshop in Bromma and that the renovation of the premises could begin. In addition, we were in phase with our sales budget! What a thrill!

    Other highlights

Another highlight from the year was the follow-up trips Eezer to Kenya. That we get to see the results of Eezer's work on site and that the motorcycle ambulances actually save lives in the African countryside is an indescribable feeling.

I will also remember the commitment at our 5 S meetings with a focus on moving. Also team travel to Prague and Palma when we put fun in the culture and became even more welded teams etched in the memory.

    Finally

We managed to reach our sales target in 2019 and are generally satisfied with the result. A big thank you to all the staff who make Lundgren's a fun workplace and that we can perform forge & glass world class! We have challenges ahead of us but also great opportunities. If we focus on the right things and benefit from our lessons, we will succeed in achieving our goals also in 2020. The key to success is cooperation and together we are unbeatable. Teamwork makes the dreamwork!

    Away with the time thieves

What an opportunity to create a forging workshop with better order and a more pleasant working environment! Now we have the chance to remove time thieves and create new habits so that jobs can flow better. In our new workshop, we will not store or save more than is necessary. In addition, we will only have the equipment and materials required. Everything else is a waste! Because it takes us unnecessarily much time to look, wait and move things around as soon as we need something.

Christmas and moving are fast approaching

On Friday, it's time for the big Christmas 5 S-day. As you already know, we will focus on the move. We will clean, move things and start installing in the new workshop. Afterwards, we will enjoy a well-deserved Christmas party at the Stadium with loved ones.

New products in our web shop

Before the Christmas rush, we will fill our web shop with new products developed by our employees. The creative joy that exists among us is something we want to take advantage of. So feel free to visit ours webshop because there you will find a wonderful mix of fine furnishings in sustainable forging.

    New: Marshal holder

Now we are going to do something about maternal mortality in Burundi

Many women dies in Burundi in connection with pregnancy and childbirth or complications related to childbirth. There are many who do not arrive at the clinic on time when it is time to give birth. So we will try to solve that together Eezer with the help of motorcycle-based ambulances.

Right now, Eezer is putting together a team that will get 100 carts together. This spring, a container will be filled with materials and equipment for 50 wagons going to Burundi. After that, the team will go down to start production locally.

The team needs a skilled electrician and someone who is skilled at milling. Do you feel called? Or maybe even want to help on the spot? In that case, contact Richard. Likewise if you want to contribute materials, equipment or tools. I promise that it is an indescribable feeling to be part of making the world a little better!

    Lots of welding

It was fun when students from Beckman's design college were with us on a welding course. Soon it's time for another fun welding event when craftsmen in Stockholm come to us to see our workshop and try welding. Next year we will expand the range of courses including metal handicraft, welding evenings and also welding courses in TIG.

Beckman's students on a welding course

    Teamwork makes the dreamwork

It was community that was in focus in Prague and Palma. We had time to share thoughts about the job, interests and goals in life. In addition, we had time to reflect on how we should work to achieve our goals. It really warms my heart that we have so much fun together!

Now that we have gotten to know each other better, we can take advantage of our different strengths. In addition, we become unbeatable together when it comes to performing forge & glass world class. Teamwork makes the dreamwork!

    High-level cooperation

    The final sprint

The countdown to Christmas leave has begun and all leave applications have been approved. Now we go into the final sprint. It's a great job you do so keep it up all the way straight to the finish line!

    Our projects

In November, we continued with the cortene facade on Biskopsudden and installed copper-clad glass sections for Bromma church. We made wrought iron railings with guides that were wrapped in leather. We also made steel pillars, wrought iron railings and steel stairs. In addition, we made windows and door sections for the County Council House and burglary grilles for NCC. Furthermore, one replaced the beam job the other to the LA group. Finally, we also made sheet metal walls for Fridhemsplan day and night.

    The Eddings brothers

In November, Järngänget did Eddings furniture designed by Jonas Bohlin to the new star restaurant on Biskopsudden. They continued with the forging jobs for Lidl, made suspension details for luminaires for the bridge at Bälstaån and also installed terrace railings and canopies at Gärdesskolan. Furthermore, they started making a staircase to Trygg-Hansa-Huset.

In December, Eddings will install forging for Welandtrappor and also continue with some additional work in kv. Stettin. In addition, they will manufacture a lattice floor plan for Lidl in Barkaby.

    Teamwork makes the dream work

Every year we go on team trips to dedicate ourselves to team building. The purpose of the trips is for us to get to know each other better and build relationships. When we get to know each other, the we-feeling is strengthened and we work better together as a team. We become more efficient when we can cooperate. But above all, we have fun at work when we work with friends, which creates good conditions for good performance. This will lead to us reaching our goals.

So therefore we will now devote ourselves to forging and teamwork in Prague and Palma. There will be some fun and intense days! New relationships must be created and old ones must be nurtured.

    Back on budget

After a shaky start to the year, we came back on budget! There were many balls in the tube after this summer's big project. We have some new exciting business underway and until then it is important to occupy all hours with interesting forgedAnd glassJob!

    Back on budget

    Seller of the month

Congratulations Richard and Martin who got a big framework agreement on service forging! It will generate a lot of jobs in the future.

This year's novelty - metal handicraft

For four Tuesdays in a row, we will open up our forging workshop for metal craft. With access to welds and machines, participants will have the opportunity to create or repair what they want themselves with the help of an experienced course leader. So hurry up Report you!

The improvement factory with a focus on relocation

At the 5 S meetings, we cleaned up before moving to our new forging workshop. We also made some improvements in our new forging workshop where we built a forging ramp and got a new door in place. The rebuilding of the public spaces continued in full swing and we placed where workplaces and machines will be located. We will continue our work with the move and the large moving load is planned around the turn of the year.

    Our projects

In October, we built two Eezer Motorcycle ambulances to be used as display copies. We made glass sections that we covered with both copper and brass. We started with the assembly of copper-clad glass sections for Bromma church. Our new project manager Peter started with a beam job for NOD Kista with the support of our knowledgeable blacksmiths. In addition to this, we installed door sections around Stockholm and the surrounding area. We manufactured wrought iron railings, guides and steel stairs. We also fixed it the metal glass sections to Solberga Church in Gothenburg and completed the door sections to Karolinska Hospital. At Fridhemsplan, we installed specially adapted corner sheet metal cassettes.

It went like clockwork for all the blacksmiths who put welding samples and the inspector was impressed by all the skilled welders. In December, it's time for a new gang.

    Welding test

In November, we will install an entrance section in Bredäng to Primula Byggnads. We will also manufacture and install a 36 meter long window sill in sheet metal for the new restaurant on Biskopsudden.

    The brothers Edding's Forging

At the same time as Lundgren's continued with the curtain façade on Biskopsudden, Järngänget made furniture for the new star restaurant.

Further continued Eddings with the forging jobs for Lidl. They also made metal glass sections in brass for Lunda Hotel. In addition, they mounted beams for the middle fan room and reinforcement beams for Kv Stettin. Furthermore, the gang mounted an external railing to Bolinder's terrace in Kallhäll and glass brackets in Nynäshamn. In addition to this, they had time to finish the alternating beams for a staircase and now they are starting the work of building a steel staircase. They finished the entrance sun floor in Tomteboda and began to build a loading dock to Kinnarp.

    Same ambition now as then

When I cleaned at the workshop office, I found a flyer from 1987 where we market our services in welding and forging. This shows that the ambition already in 1952 was to be able to deliver good quality combined with good customer service and that it has given us many and recurring customers over the years. This ambition has remained in three family generations. In the same way, industry experience and skilled employees have been important ever since Lundgrens began its operations 67 years ago. As a result, we have been able to deliver forge and glass world class through all the years.

The move to the new forging workshop

It felt important to gather everyone in our new premises Tornväktargränd in Bromma to show the forging workshop and give answers to questions about the move. We were happy to tell you that we will rent the room next door, which means that we will have twice as much space.

It is a great challenge to carry out the move so that our business does not stop. Above all, good planning and commitment from everyone is required. We have already started the relocation work a little bit on our 5 S meetings by marking what we need to have with us. Feel free to come up with ideas or suggestions for improvements on how we should decorate the new workshop. Because when the rebuilding of the public spaces is complete, we will start moving over parts of the business. And, when the move is complete, we will have a thunderous move-in party in the new premises!

    Team travel

Soon it's time for long-awaited team trips and this year the trips go to Palma and Prague.

Efforts to reduce maternal mortality in Africa

Even Eezers second follow-up trip to Kenya was successful. During this trip delivered Eezergang carriage 27 to a clinic in Rongai. Are you curious about what it is like to go on a follow-up trip? Then you should read the Eezerambassadören Lena's diary

What happens now? In October, we will produce two display copies. In addition, we will continue to be involved in the production of more ambulances.

    Seller of the month

Congratulations Yosef who got in a series of exciting projects! For example, steel stairs, metal glass sections, interior forging and wrought iron railings. Tomas also got an exciting job with specially ordered glass sections for new ones The Tram Museum which will move from Södermalm to Gasverket in Norra Djurgårdsstaden.

    Our projects

At Fridhemsplan, everything floated as it should with the installation of sheet metal cassettes. In addition to this, we installed door sections in Högdalen and delivered door sections to Kista Galleria. We also installed cover plates in Nynäshamn. In the forging workshop, we manufactured metal glass sections and forging gates. In addition, we made changes, glass doors, railings and steel stairs. We also made a canopy to Bromma Airport and continued with the cortén façade on Biskopsudden.

    The Eddings brothers

There was also a lot to do for the iron gang Eddings in September. Among other things, they mounted beams for a ventilation unit and reinforcements of TT cassettes for kv Stettin. The gang also started assembling a grid floor plan in the shaft at Gärdesskolan. They will probably now start with the assembly of wrought iron railings and the manufacture of canopies. They also helped MVB with brackets for a glass facade. Furthermore, they were almost finished with the work on a new floor in Bromma where only additional work remains. The manufacture of variations for stairwells in the Trygg-Hansa house was completed and they will soon begin assembly. In Tomteboda, there was a new mezzanine floor.

Eddings also finished the brass-clad glass section for Lunda hotel. They also worked with restaurant forging for Karolinska Hospital and made furniture for Biskopsudden. The work in Viksjö center was completed and as a nice end to that project, the iron gang assembled a work of art in Viksjö Stadspark.

    Artwork Viksjö city park

It was also full speed in the Lidl project where Valle and his efficient team mounted 280 meters of wrought iron railings. Now there are about 120 meters left to assemble. In addition, they mounted diversions, a spiral staircase, ventilation hood, folding glass walls, support plates, angles etc.

  • Monthly letter August 2019 - everything in forging & glass

    Welcome back!

Hope your summer has been good and that you feel charged for the challenges of autumn. It feels good to have all the strength back.

    Fridhemsplan has opened as planned

Many thanks to everyone who stood up and helped us to implement the Fridhemsplan project. Getting through such a large project in a short time in the middle of summer is both challenging and fun. It was an outstanding team that fought and showed that they could solve the challenges that arose in a good way. It made us feel confident that we would be able to do the job. The gang mounted steel frames and sheet metal cassettes on the track side. They turned the steel frame into a lamp fixture as well as the glass railings and guides. We finished the first part on time and the station can open as planned. Now we will complete the last part of the project.

    Bright, fresh and high ceilings

We have been sitting in our forging workshop by Bällstaån since the 70s. In recent years, there has been a transformation of the industrial area into housing, parks and walkways and it is not so strange that we have to move away from our dear forging workshop. But, a new forging workshop in Bromma is waiting for us. It is light, fresh and has a high ceiling height. When the rebuilding of the public spaces is complete, we will start moving in and in February the move will be completed.

    Eezer - Kenyaresor

It is a very special feeling that arises when we get to be involved and make a difference. It is a warm feeling in the heart that occurs when Eezer's ambulance ambulances transform a person's day from horrible to fantastic. Seeing the results of Eezer's work on site in Africa is an indescribable feeling. This is exactly what both Javier and Richard experienced when they went on a follow-up trip with Eezer in August.

For two years we have been involved in Eezer. Among other things, we have built ambulance carriages in our forging workshop that currently runs in Africa and trained local people in Burundi in building carriages. Regardless of whether you have contributed with concrete efforts or not, it is we together who make it possible for us to get involved in Eezer.

    Our projects

In August, the Fridhemsplan project was full. In addition, we installed wrought iron gates and railings at the Turkish Embassy, made metal glass sections for Bromma Church, interior forging, variations and wine rack. We also continued with the corten facade on Biskoppsudden. Three full welding courses also started.

With charged batteries, we look forward to this autumn's exciting project within forge & glass and to row together the move to new fresh premises. Autumn 2019 will be a fun autumn - now we're driving!

  • Monthly newsletter July 2019 - everything in forging & glass

The forging workshop is in full swing! We manufacture wrought iron railings, door sections, napkin rings, wine racks, wrought iron gates. In addition, we install beams and sheet metal walls out on the construction site. We fight for everything to roll on according to set time frames. Everyone does a great job!

    Exciting times

We have a busy month ahead of us with forging jobs under tight schedules. That we cooperate in a good way towards the goal is required for us to be able to perform at the top. The curtain facade for the new star restaurant on Biskoppsudden will also be completed. Right now, Eddings is working on a major forging job at Lidl under the management of Valle, and soon they will start manufacturing restaurant furnishings.

    Teamwork

We are charging for the follow-up trips to Kenya with Eezer as two representatives from Lundgren's will follow Eezer's work and its development on site. They will visit clinics and organizations that Eezer cooperates to reduce maternal mortality in African rural areas. In addition, they will follow up already delivered motorcycle ambulances that transport pregnant women to clinics when they are about to give birth. It will be exciting to follow their inner and outer journey with high-flying, emotionally touching encounters, adorable Eezer babies and the occasional giraffe!

Meeting with three Eezer babies May 2018

In addition, we are preparing for the move to our new workshop. Some rebuilding of the premises will take place before we move over parts of the business.

    Everyone can weld!

Even if you have never held a weld before, you can easily learn to weld. Come on our welding evenings and you will see! Sure, it takes a little practice. But, if you take a welding course with our skilled blacksmiths as a course leader, you will be so sure that after eight meetings you pass a welder test and get your first welding certificate. For those of you who can already weld and want to build, for example, a candlestick or a table, we will open up our forging workshop for metal handicraft. For more information and registration see here or contact tell us more. Once you have started welding, you do not want to stop!

A tip for a fun competition!

Every month, everyone can contribute to the picture of the month. The winner is published in our monthly newsletter. Other photos are published in our social media and on the website. We receive pictures ranging from our projects in forging and glass to pictures of our wonderful gang. Feel free to follow us Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin then you get to take part in life at Lundgrens. The winning entry for July was presented by Fathi with the image "Visual inspection of weld". 5 S improvement factory

Before the summer we drove spring 5 S-day and shoved away what we have a hard time keeping up with in everyday life. This summer we take a break from our 5 S meetings. However, it is important that we maintain the good order we have created so that we do not have to start again from step 1 until the autumn.

    Our projects

In June, there was full focus on our ongoing projects in forging and glass. There were crop beams, glass walls and door sections going on. We made additions to existing doors at NKS. A team installed an ALU ramp and door frames. Other projects we worked on were assembly of door sections in Uppsala, forging work for NCC and Bonava. Furthermore, we continued with the wine cabinets to Magnusson Fine wine. We also continued with the curtain facade to the new star restaurant on Biskopsudden and the corner guards on SÖS.

We will soon start with the manufacture of wrought iron railings, door sections and a sheet metal cladding of a loading dock.

The brothers Eddings Smide worked with restaurant furnishings for Janax Snickeri. The fan room in Norra huset to kv Stettin was completed. They then continued with the assembly in Södra huset and various extra forging jobs. Furthermore, Eddings began assembling plates for two terraces at Gärdesskolan. They also started manufacturing a new floor in Bromma. Another project that Eddings worked on was two trellis for Viksjö Centrum. Soon, the iron gang will help SH-Bygg with two platforms.

  • Monthly newsletter May 2019 - everything in forging & glass

Wow, wow, wow what time goes by and I only have time for half of everything I have on hand !! A feeling that I think many have now. Precisely because May is a hectic month with many deadlines at the same time as it is a lot of fun that happens with school graduations, holiday planning, etc. With summer at the door, it is important to prioritize what is most important and put a reasonable level of ambition on what you have on hand. Because then it always works out!

Take the chance and join an adventure trip to Kenya

Getting from home to a clinic to get qualified help in childbirth is a major challenge in many parts of the world. Many women often die unnecessarily because they do not have time to arrive on time. With Swedish design, know-how and local materials are manufactured Eezers motorcycle ambulances that save lives in the African countryside. Now we're looking for one Lundgrenare who gets the chance to join one of Eezer's follow-up trips to Kenya in August. During the trip, some already delivered crews in i.a. Masaai Mara is followed up. On the trip, a doer is needed who can help fix a motorcycle tow. It will be an inner and outer adventure trip and I promise that it is an indescribable feeling to make a difference on the spot! Do you want to join? Then you must register your interest with us.

    Many new faces

It's full to the brim our forging workshop and even more will be this summer. We solve this with new hires and hired staff. I often hear from new employees that they receive a pleasant welcome when they come to us and that you are happy and helpful. That if anything makes us proud!

We are looking for a project manager

It's full of shops inside forge and glass which we want to capture! Therefore, we are looking for more project managers who want to work with parts or the whole within project management. So feel free to suggest and share that we are looking for a project manager! Or apply here.

A day filled with benefit and pleasure

Finally, it's time for Lundgren's spring 5 S-day! This time we will drive in groups and push away what is difficult to catch up on in the 5 S-hits. Constantly striving to remove and simplify is important for us to succeed in creating a better and safer workplace with higher well-being and better profitability.

In the evening there will be a summer party when we drive an old goodie with pentathlon on Grönan. It will be a fast-paced evening with 5-fight, rides, food and music.

    Health examination

Now almost all health examinations have been carried out.

    Teamwork

When assembling, situations sometimes arise that require a little extra thought. Such a situation arose recently when Dominykas and the gang were to assemble a tricky table construction. Then the knowledge that was in the team and the ability to work out solutions together was very valuable.

"Put your hand in mine and we will be strong together, we will be weak together, we will be together!"

    Our projects

In May, the assignments took turns in the tenant-owner association Älgskyttaren in Fredhäll. First there was a balcony installation and then a wrought iron railing, a bicycle ramp, repair of elevator nets and installation of a railing modification through eight floors. Jimmy and Micke tore at SÖS with the rubber-coated wrists and the crash protection in stainless steel. The last piece of lightweight beam was mounted in the Audi garage. Wrangel Palace received an elegant leather-wrapped railing in wrought iron and a curtain rail. There was even more work at KS with door frames for all metal doors. The wine compartments to the wine place Grape to Magnusson Fine Wine rolled on according to plan. Finally, the brass jobs at NK were completed.

In May, we also started installing door sections at Arlanda and we started welding work at Bromma Airport. Almost all extra forging jobs were completed in the Käppala treatment plant.

We also manufactured a steel stand for signs for Barkabystaden. The noise barrier in Älvsjö was almost completed. The work with the corten facade for the restaurant on Biskoppsudden went well with Javier as supervisor. Finally, the job with the glass cafeteria is in the final stages.

Finally, we made wrought iron details, beams, gears, columns and steel doors. We also had time for a table base, a barbecue stand, a canopy and wrought iron railings.

This summer it will be forge and world-class ice cream! The second stage with door sections on KS, collision protection, derailleurs, wrought iron fences, steel doors, a specially ordered wrought iron railing and a lot of special wrought iron awaits.

    The brothers Edding's Forging

In May mounted Eddings facade panels for two fan rooms for kv Stettin, which will be completed in June. In Tomteboda, they built two steel stairs. Furthermore, they helped Bygg Partner to manufacture grate gutters. They also installed corten steel in Gröndal. In June, Edding's will secretly start the new project Gärdesskolan with Erlandsson Bygg as the builder.

  • Monthly newsletter April 2019 - everything in forging & glass

Wow, what time has rushed and winter has collapsed! Just like at Valborg when we light fires to burn up the old and make room for the new, we have made room for our new project management staff. As we said before, it was tough to succeed with the sales in step with our investment. But the way the gang took on the challenge and struggled with sales paid off. They showed that with a little fucking embrace it is possible. So after a long and dark winter, we are finally here and in a few short moments everything is in full bloom. Just as the men's choirs sing about the student's happy days, we ring the order bell for the bright future that is ours! Welcome beautiful May!

Great and exciting jobs in forge and glass is in the starting pit. We are grateful that we have teams of skilled blacksmiths who will help us perform the jobs during tight schedules. With teamwork and a little fucking embrace, we will deliver world-class wrought iron and glass!

Soon you will not be admitted to the construction site

From 20 June, you will need a new ID06 with a more secure card standard. One goal with the new cards is that it will be more difficult to cheat on a building. It is important that you approve the information via the link in your email and identify yourself with a Bank ID. Otherwise the card cannot be produced and if you do not have a new ID06, you will not be admitted to the construction site.

Become a professional at welding with us

We train in welding in different methods and levels. We run welding courses in collaboration with Medborgarskolan and tailor our own welding courses to both individuals and companies. In April, three blacksmiths had the honor of being a welding teacher in the steel workshop Room, detail and materials for KTH's architecture students. It was also the premiere for the new welding course welding for beginners which we run in collaboration with Medborgarskolan. It is aimed at those who want to learn the basics of welding and try welding MMA, MIG / MAG and TIG. In May, we will hold a company-adapted welding course. This autumn we will start with metal handicraft as we will have workshops with access to an equipped workshop, materials and an experienced blacksmith.

Do you want to come to Kenya?

This autumn, there will be two follow-up trips to Kenya to follow up Eezers work to reduce maternal mortality in rural Africa. Register your interest if you want to join.

Through green steel, we can reduce the climate impact

Recently, the initiative was launched Green Steel which makes it possible to climate compensate our steel use. This is done through afforestation in long-term sustainable projects together with Zero Mission. Behind the investment is MVR and the Norwegian Steel Association. As entrepreneurs, we can profile ourselves and climate compensate our entire business.

Transport and driving are other environmental culprits in our everyday work. But by refueling with fossil-free diesel, we can reduce carbon dioxide emissions for our work cars up to 90 %! A list of filling stations that have HVO100 can be found at Jussi.

    5 S

What a wonderful commitment there is in the groups and it is gratifying to see a cleaned forging workshop with even better order. Congratulations to the 5 S victory!

On June 5, there will be a summer party and more information and registration will be coming soon.

    Our projects

We assembled metal glass sections at Arlanda and shower screens in Kämpetorpshallen. The stainless steel wrought iron railing for the Käppala treatment plant was completed. Furthermore, we did a change, pergola, wrought iron railings and supervisor. We mounted a glass railing with a supervisor in Lidingö City Hall and started with the cover plates in the courtyard of the restaurant on Biskoppsudden. Furthermore, we mounted stainless steel cover plates and holders for door cards. We mounted the glass section to the entrance of Clarion Hotel and put glass in the glass café. In addition to this, we continued with the forge in brass to NK, wine places to Magnusson Fine Wine and the corner guards to Södersjukhuset. We also installed corner profiles and roof fittings in Audio bilhall.

  • Monthly letter March 2019 - everything in forging & glass in Stockholm

Now it is full speed in the forging workshop and after a few hard months it feels like we are on the track again! It was a great feeling when we managed to sell pretty much every hour in March. Recruitment of new employees is underway and we have some really good blacksmiths inside finsmide and construction forging at the entrance! We have many exciting jobs in the pipeline and are ready to continue doing world-class forging!

    Magical powers

To me, forging is magic. It is really fascinating to see how our blacksmiths create unique forging products in our forging workshop. With a piece of metal, some tools and some machines, they seem to be able to do anything. It's like they'll conjure! We can take our metal glass sections as an example. They take some profiles, build them together, dress them up and suddenly they have a completely unique glass section in front of them! It's not about what they do but how they do it. And, I am deeply impressed by the skill of our blacksmiths!

    Special forging

Together with our skilled blacksmiths, we do forging jobs that others in the industry find difficult. We provide builders, architects, interior designers, managers, tenant-owner associations and private individuals with all types of forging and preferably complicated forging jobs. We do everything from completion forging, MT steel and security doors for special orders glass partr and exclusive furnishings. Both challenging and fun!

    Special forging in Stockholm

    Work environment & safety

Last week we had a visit from the regional safety representative who did a safety tour and looked at how we work with the work environment. We were praised for the nice order in our forging workshop! However, we received a remark that there was some material on the floor, which entails tripping risks. A well-known problem that we try to solve by marking out materials, putting in pallets, etc. We know that it can be a little tricky to get into the daily work, but we must continue to help each other get better at this.

As you know, we must always wear a safety helmet, eye protection, warning clothing and safety shoes when we are out working. For the jobs that require us, we must use hearing protection, gloves and respiratory protection. The requirements can look different with the customers, so it is important that you find out what type of hearing protection, helmet, etc. applies.

    The improvement factory 5 S

It's a wonderful commitment to 5 Sgroups! In March, we made a number of improvements to create a better and safer workplace with higher well-being and better profitability. During my years at Lundgrens, I have never seen such well-cleaned machines in our forging workshop.

    Our projects

In March, we made stainless steel plates for shower screens in Kämpetorpshallen. We did one metal glass part, black lacquered shelves and a glass rack. The oxidized the door sections to Solberga Church in Gothenburg were completed and assembled on site by our blacksmiths. The corten-clad steel frame to a ventilation unit in Kista was completed. The first stage of door sections to NKS was also largely completed. Furthermore, we installed a specially ordered door section. The production of the entrance to the Clarion hotel was in progress and a brass door was completed.

We also did forging jobs in Audio Bilhall and the work with mirrors in brass and portals for NK continued. The work with the ladies of the art academy continued. The gang at Jägarbacken continued with the forging job and made, among other things, wrought iron railings and a spiral staircase. The work with corner protection / plinths in stainless steel in the culverts at Södersjukhuset began.

The forging team was almost finished with the ongoing forging jobs for QHF for Peab. They also put steel place braces. Furthermore, the team made two balcony railings in wrought iron and frames for floor hatches. They completed the internal staircase to Tungel builders. The team assembled and welded wrought iron railings and made stainless steel skirting boards and details for Timberland on Kungsgatan. The service guys also repaired the front door. Furthermore, they mounted curb steel for a garage for ambulances for Skeppströms Byggnads.

In April, alternating forging, installation of forging railings, crash protection, door sections to Arlanda, welding work at Bromma Airport and stage 2 with door sections to NKS await. We will continue with the noise barrier to Arcona and start with the corten plates for the new restaurant on Biskopsudden. We will assemble the entrance section at Clarion Hotel and continue with the glass section to Gustavsberg's Porcelain Museum. Furthermore, we will manufacture wine place Grape to be built on the existing wine cellars in Magnusson Fine Wine wine cellar on Grevgatan.

In other words, it will be full of blacksmithing in Stockholm! If we also get some of the jobs where we are waiting for an answer, we will need to strengthen the force with more supervising blacksmiths!

    The brothers Edding's Forging

During March did Eddings a glass section and wine rack. They completed the forging jobs for the outdoor gym at Lötsjön. Furthermore, they did various small forging jobs for Järfälla municipality and Saab. The facade forging to Bredängen center was completed. Järngänget also manufactured balcony and terrace railings forged for Kv Stettin. They also started assembling floorboards for the balconies. Furthermore, the facade cladding and the grid floor plan for the fan rooms were in progress. In addition to this, they began to clad a switchgear with aluminum plates for kv Brädstapeln.

  • Monthly newsletter February 2019 - everything in forging & glass

January and February are tough months for us. Then it is important to find the strength to fight. My sources of inspiration are many and one of them is my five year old daughter. During the sports holiday we hung out on the slalom slope and it gave me important insights about the path to the goal. She had decided to go skiing. Her perseverance, inner drive and ability not to give up in times of adversity became the key to success. Each time she fell, she got up and went on. It became clear that when we find our passion, it will be easy to find the strength required for us to be able to make a wholehearted effort. From the band on the children's slope, she was able to descend the steepest slopes at the end of the week. At least she did not give up when it was toughest and managed to reach her goal!

With those insights, I feel even more motivated to take on Lundgren's challenges and continue to fight towards our goals.

    The road to the goal

    Lundgren's buck

Lundgrens has had a long collaboration with Jonas Bohlin which is one of Sweden's foremost designers and designers. Almost ten years ago, we received a drawing of Jonas on a workbench that he had designed for us. His idea was to have a couple in hot-dip galvanized steel standing in the work shed. They would be used as work stands for painting or as an extra table at the midsummer party. We made a couple and organized a competition in the spring Facebook page where we drew the first one Lundgren's buck.

It is probably the finest and most useful workbook available. We have long felt that we want to do something more of it. In January we had hours left so we took the opportunity to make some. The bucks are now available for purchase on-line. The trestle works as well as a work trestle as a table base. They can be used as a coffee, work or dining table if you place a table top in wood, glass or steel. They are easy to carry, easy to store and very functional with their adjustable height.

Lundgren's buck in white and black lacquer with fine details in brass

The forging team creates order & order with 5 S

We made some small changes in the 5 S groups so that the forging teams and Lundgren's departments can run 5 S together. It feels important to have a forum where the groups meet regularly.

We must always wear protective equipment

When we are out at work, we should always have:

    • safety helmet with chin strap
    • eye protection
    • warning clothes
    • safety shoes

For the jobs that require us, we will use:

    • ear protection
    • gloves
    • respiratory protection

Have you answered the questionnaire about protective equipment? If not, make sure we know you have the equipment we require you to use.

    Seller of the month

Congratulations Tomas who became the seller of the month in February! Now waiting blacksmithing to Wrangelska Palatset, brass job to NK, a balcony installation to Audio Bilhall and steel stairs and wrought iron railings for Kv Mikroskopet in Ursvik.

    Sales tips

When we have the capacity to offer our customers, it can be good to focus even more on additional sales. It takes more time and effort to sell to a new than an established customer. So knock on the booths and ask if there is anything else we can help with.

    Our projects

In February, we did various things on an ongoing basis blacksmithing (alternating beams and plates) to Peab. We started with a passage system for electronic locking of apartment doors to the Social Administration. The guys continued working on the internal stairs. The construction of the Weland stairs in Kallhäll was completed. We glazed frames and started welding on the statues. Furthermore, we manufactured and assembled a ramp, alternating beams, handrails for a staircase, one door section and a steel frame clad with corten steel as well as dismantled forging. The plates for Casino Cosmopol were almost finished to a very satisfied customer. The stair railing, grille and attachments to St. John's Church were completed. We also started with a glass job, wrought iron railing and variety beams for Gustavberg's Porcelain Museum. We continued with the brass doorway and did finsmide when we made a glass rack for a bar in Sundbyberg.

Finally, we were almost finished with the construction Blicken at Handenterminalen. It was a long project that lasted for a year and a half with many trips back and forth. Glass facade, glass sections, canopies and wrought iron railings are in place. During the project, many people were involved. The Strabag customer was satisfied with the quality, planning and execution. Project manager David thanks everyone involved and he thought it was fun to be able to land the project!

In February, the glazing of the glass cafeteria and the manufacture of a stainless steel entrance to the Clarion Hotel await.

    The brothers Edding's Forging

In February worked Eddings including the outdoor gym at Lötsjön in Sundbyberg. They made a room divider and a few other goodies. They sold wine rack to a wine cellar for a private person that they will start with in March.

    Shaky start!

Back to zero with a new budget and new goals. The challenge of getting sales starts again every year. Without sales, it does not matter that we deliver world-class forging. As we wrote in last month's letter, we have a big challenge ahead of us.

As in previous years, January was a tough month for us. Jobs were declining and it was difficult to find meaningful employment for everyone. The situation feels shaky and it is a difficult feeling when the budget slips behind. We fight, struggle and try to find new ways to get to the top as a strong team.

To kick-start the year, we ran a sales competition. The winner was Yosef, who sold jobs for the highest total value in January. Congratulations! A record number of inquiries were answered and there are several strong bubblers among us who are well on their way to becoming real star sellers.

Upcoming news - interior design & design on the web

Soon we will launch an online shop on our website where you can find a wonderful mix of interior design and design in sustainable forging. All products are self-made in a varied style. The range consists of a diverse range of products that have been requested by our customers or that our employees have developed. You will find everything from wine racks to Lundgren's buck. If you want to see the goods, feel and squeeze before ordering, you are welcome to visit our showroom which is in our forging workshop and Sumpan. We can do most things within interior forging so if you do not find what you are looking for then just ask Contact Us for a price proposal.

Eezer - Motorcycle ambulances for reduced maternal mortality

Now the ambulances roll in Chad which we made before Christmas. The trolleys will mainly be used for maternity care, but also to transport people who have difficulty getting to and from hospital clinics. During the year, we will continue to engage in Eezer and in the work to reduce maternal mortality in Africa. How? Well, by continuing to contribute with concrete efforts within what we are good at. We will build more ambulances in our forging workshop. We will hopefully help to teach locals how to weld carriages together. A follow-up trip to Kenya is planned this autumn.

    Follow-up trip May 2018

    Welding courses

In February, three welding courses will take place MMA (pin welding) step 1 to start. We expanded the range of courses with a beginners' course during the day where the participants will learn the basics of welding and try out the different techniques. MMA, MIG / MAG and TIG. At the end of the course, they will be able to immerse themselves in any welding method and manufacture a simpler product. You will find more information and registration here. The courses are held in collaboration with Citizens' School with our skilled welders Samer and Yosef as course leaders.

We also offer tailor-made courses for both private individuals and companies in the welding area. You can also take welding samples with us. Contact Us then we tell more. It is said that once you have tried welding, you do not want to stop.

This is how we will reduce carbon dioxide emissions

Transport and driving are major environmental culprits in our everyday work. With a simple effort, we can reduce carbon dioxide emissions for our work cars up to 90 % !! Namely by refueling fossil-free diesel and we will do so in the future.

We will continue to work with environmental issues to live up to concrete and recognized environmental requirements. The goal is for us to certify ourselves according to ISO 14001.

    Quality management - 1090

In January, a group took a course in visual inspection of welds to refresh their knowledge. The group received good feedback from the course leader who thought they had very good prior knowledge. Revision EN 1090 is planned for March.

    Course visual inspection of welding

The workshop manager has the floor

Jussi took over responsibility for workwear and protective equipment from the turn of the year.

    Our projects

In January, we made a wine rack for cramped spaces, buffet carts and Lundgren's buck. We made wrought iron railings and pram ramps for the metro stations at S: t Eriksplan and Rådmansgatan. Furthermore, we made a spiral staircase in Kallhäll and started with wrought iron railings for the track area at Arlanda. Final finishing of the barrier kiosk at Vega station was in progress. The 22 meter long stair railing to St. John's Church came into place. We fixed seven wine racks Grape to the wine cellar Grappe. We also manufactured and assembled one stair railing in black lacquered steel for a villa. The steel frame for NCC was completed. Furthermore, we manufactured and assembled a variety beam in steel, a grille, a table stand and door sections. We mounted a stainless steel railing and stairs in Käppalaverket and manufactured folding metal doors to Solberga Church in Gothenburg.

In February, we will start with plates for Casino Cosmopol as well as windbreakers and door sections in copper. We will also manufacture a double door in brass. Work will begin shortly the corten plates to the new restaurant on Biskopsudden.

    The brothers Edding's Forging

The new year started well at Eddings which has many exciting projects underway. They are looking for a blacksmith for the manufacture of forged products and who can dress metal parts. Tip, share, search! The application and CV are sent to hr@smide.com

In January, inspections of the work in the new emergency room at Danderyd Hospital began. Much of the medical equipment is now mounted on our forge. The gang received much praise for their accuracy from both Siemens, Philips and the customer! Furthermore, Eddings began to manufacture an armrest for an outdoor gym at Lötsjön in Sundbyberg. The stair assembly at kv Stettin on Gärdet was in full swing and in February the facade forging will take over. They installed the last wrought iron railing in Gröndal and they continued with the assembly of the railing in Kallhäll and Viksjö center. Furthermore, Edding's supplied the lead cabinets to NKS. Otherwise, the new brackets were welded to a tractor plow and a bucket. They made a room divider and glass rack for AG. In a few weeks, the facade forge to Bredängencentrum will get a fresh start.

  • Monthly newsletter December 2018 - everything in forging & glass

    Good continuation!

Many enjoy time off while there are some brave ones who hold the positions in the forging workshop. Soon we will put an end to another chapter in Lundgrens 66-year history. Like life, 2018 consisted of highs and lows and everyday life in between. A highlight was Eddings fantastic development. Under the leadership of Adam, the iron gang managed to turn around the poor result and double the turnover. We see that the company has a good potential to develop further. On the other hand, it was tough to succeed with the sales in step with our investment with new project managers Lundgrens. Finding forms of cooperation, getting into the match and rowing home business takes time. A receipt that we are on the right track was when our new stars started ringing the order bell!

When the order bell rings at the workshop

So to some goodies during the year. IN 5 S we took over a hundred steps on the way to the goal of a better and safer workplace with higher well-being and better profitability. We followed Eezer to Kenya, Tanzania and Burundi to reduce maternal mortality. With our own eyes, we saw that the motorcycle ambulances are used and save lives in the African countryside. We taught locals in Burundi to build ambulances. Our forging teams made fun and memorable teamresor around Europe. It is difficult to summarize everything but you can read more in our monthly letter. The winning entries in the competition Picture of the month are a few moments that will stick in the memory. Here are the winners:

    SEK 2,500 - anyone?

After our trip to Burundi Andree started manufacturing his first motorcycle ambulance. He sees a great need for the wagons. Unfortunately, production stopped when he, among other things. need tires and various materials to be able to continue. If you want to help Contact Us. I promise that it is an indescribable feeling to be part of making the world a little better!

Do you want to help Andree so he can continue to make ambulances in Burundi?

What can we improve in our environment?

Recently, everyone got to answer the question: What do you think we do that is worst for the environment? Many responded to transport and driving and that we throw away material instead of reusing it. In 2019, we will work systematically with environmental issues. The goal is for us to certify ourselves according to ISO 14001 to live up to concrete and recognized environmental requirements.

    The move

It is not clear what will happen to the move. We are waiting to be told if we can stay for a while longer. If we need to move, we will look for premises in the northern part and today there are premises for rent. If you know someone who is looking for a collaboration, wants to sell a plot or a workshop, feel free to contact us Richard.

    Economy news

The budget for 2019 was ready. The goal is for us to sell for SEK 65 million Lundgrens and on Eddings we are aiming for SEK 30 million. Just in time for New Year, we were able to make the year's final payment of performance salaries to our performance owners.

    Our projects

In December became Eddings finished with the stairs to Drottninggatan. The customer Construera was very satisfied! The large spiral staircase in Gröndal was also completed. The facade forging to Bredängen center continued and they made a lead cabinet for NKS. They received an extra order for a railing that they started manufacturing. They also received more railings for JM's building in Kallhäll. Weather permitting, they will start assembling some ground railings to Viksjö center.

On Lundgrens continued blue team with forged at Jägarbacken. The red team mounted two glass sections on Tegeluddsvägen. They continued with glascaféterian and mounted a glass wall on Ringvägen 100. Furthermore, the team mounted one steel stairs and an internal staircase. They also made sliding glass and brass doors for Hotell Gamla Stan. The green team manufactured railings, glass frames and rebuilt a floor plan. They made door frames for two wooden doors and made pram ramps. Furthermore, the team did finsmide in the form of lamp fixtures in brass. They also made the last copper-clad metal glass part for Husfrun. Since the start, we have made about 60 glass sections, most of which are made in our forging workshop. All metal sections have been clad with copper, which has then been given a green color through artificial patination. An outstanding result! Gula team made stainless steel railings and continued with steel glass sections to NKV at Karolinska University Hospital Solna. They also started with a stainless steel staircase and a stainless steel railing for Käppala as well as forging for the DHL entrance building.

A few glimpses of projects that are in the starting pit - manufacturing of railings for St. John's Church, wine racks, welding jobs at Bromma Airport and corten plates for a new restaurant on Biskoppsudden.

Anders manufactures the last copper-clad metal part for Husfrun

    The roads to the goal

2019 means a great challenge for us. No road is straight, but with our cruel gang, we feel safe. Collaboration is the key to success. and together we will be able to continue to develop and deliver world-class forging. The door is ajar, so step in with us and see what 2019 has to offer. With this, we at Lundgren's customers, suppliers, colleagues and friends want one

    Happy New Year!

Finally, we made the annual gingerbread mold Fabrique Stenugnsbageri which this year became a Santa hat.

The assembly of metal glass sections for New Karolinska started for gula team. Everything was ready at Bjursätraförskolan. The team manufactured the wrought iron railings for Solberga Church in Gothenburg and soon they will start with the metal parts. Furthermore, they made a change. The team received an order for two CEWE40 steel lots. The service team did various service mids.

Eddings Smide continued its work in the new emergency room at Danderyd Hospital. In November, they worked with fine-tuning of MT steel, steel sections and additional forging work. At the end of the month, it was a rooftop party held by Locum, which was a sign that it was nearing the end! The entrance parties to H&M were completed. A nice effort by the gang where the customer was very satisfied. Furthermore, Edding's Frijo helped with a change to an elevator at the metro station. They also worked with Erlandsson's construction in, among other things, their project on Almarevägen's preschool where they installed casting plates. Eddings also made the wrought iron railings for JM. The assembly of the steel stairs on Drottninggatan was in full swing and in the days to come the oak steps will be installed. Work on the large spiral staircase with associated gangway in Gröndal continued. It got more jobs in Bredängen C where they will do facade forging for three stairwells. In December, they will start with stainless steel mounting plates for an aluminum trellis.

  • Lundgren's monthly letter October 2018 - everything in forging and glass

Are you ready for the new Lundgrens?

Right now we are on an exciting and necessary journey. In 2017/18, we hired a bunch of new project managers to cope with the high pressure and upcoming retirements. Our most experienced project managers will retire in the coming year and invaluable knowledge will disappear. The new project managers are well on their way into the match, but it takes time to become a full-fledged project manager with an established customer contact network. Tough challenges and there are many pieces of the puzzle that will fit in for us to reach our goals. Right now there is a big focus on sales. Another challenge is to create a culture of collaboration where we develop team players who collaborate and further develop in the direction of the set goals. We have all the experiences and knowledge that we can share and that others can benefit and enjoy. With effective teamwork where everyone cooperates and shares the responsibility, we will succeed.

    Where should I turn?

During the project managers' strategy day, we formed a sales team. The teams also became responsible for the following priority areas:

    • PURCHASEEmpty, Bosse, David and Mauricio
    • SALE Thomas, Gert and Rizwan
    • PRODUCTIONJussi, Adam, Jurgita and Yosef
    • KMARichard, Micke and Torgny
    • HRJohanna, Riyam and Yosef

This is where you should primarily turn to questions, wishes, etc.

    What a welded gang!

For the second year in a row went gula team on a team trip together. This time it was off to Athens. Good cooperation and a good work climate is not something that does itself. It is something we create together. And, it worked gula team very good with! By daring to offer themselves, they have gotten to know each other. This in turn has led to better cooperation and that they can solve difficult tasks together. This can be seen in the results of the forging jobs. But above all, they are a close-knit gang who have fun together!

    The improvement factory - 5 S

5 S got a fresh start after some changes in the groups. Congratulations to the big workshop that became the 5 S-winner of the month with as many as 10 improvements!

    More focus on work environment

Your safety is always number one and the most important thing of all is that you come home safe and sound. No direct remarks were observed during the latest safety round at the workshop. However, we need to become better at making risk assessments in the projects. A more active and systematic work environment work is needed in the daily work. We will therefore start each 5 S meeting by going through the past week (oh, oh, note), make a quick and easy risk assessment and see what we can do in the groups to improve safety and the working environment.

We will appoint another representative (blacksmith or fitter) to the work environment group / safety committee.

    Economy news

The total turnover for Lundgrens & Eddings Smide pointed to SEK 70 million at the end of the month. Eddings continued to deliver a good result with a doubled turnover compared with the previous year.

The workshop manager has the floor

In October, each car was given a car responsible person. Now everyone will be responsible for a specific area or machine in the workshop.

At the same time in Burundi

Our brave doers Richard and Elvis are in Burundi right now. The mission for the week is to train locals to build Eezers ambulances. During the week, they will assemble two carriages in a workshop located in an old Swedish mission facility in Bujumbura. When the trolleys are finished, they will deliver them to two clinics.

Lundgrens was recently commissioned to manufacture two more wagons to be used Chad in January.

  • Lundgren AB's monthly letter September 2018 - everything in forging & glass

Now we are going to build motorcycle ambulances in Burundi!

Eezer is a project that is close to our hearts. In May, Lundgren visited Smide Olgulului Health Center on the border with Tanzania together with the Eezer Initiative. It was a very moving moment. Many in the village had put on their finest clothes and jewelry and walked miles to meet us. They were expectant, singing, dancing, giving speeches and blessing us. Their maternity clinic was a new and modern clinic (by African standards) where about 9 children per month were born. Nearly 2,000 children are born in the area every year. There was no means of transport to get to the clinic. Many therefore chose to give birth at home because it was too far to walk and there were many dangerous animals along the way. Some mothers bled… When we were there, I felt strongly that an Eezer ambulance could make a difference. And, this summer they got an Eezer !!! In September, Eezer visited Olgulului on his follow-up trip. The motorcycle ambulance had then been used for 26 patients in two months, many of whom were on their way to the clinic to give birth. It warmed my heart when I saw pictures from the visit where I could see the joy in their eyes. This is for real - Eezer's motorcycle ambulances make a difference and save lives in the African countryside. Think that we at Lundgren's are part of this! There is an enormous strength if we can become even more people who become involved in Eezer.

Elvis and Richard should have a lot of credit going to Burundi in October to assemble ambulances on site. What brave heroes! They will take with them the wagon parts that our blacksmiths made this spring.

The roads to the goal - all in forging and glass

In September, it was finally time for the project managers' strategy day with a focus on the future. In a fantastic archipelago environment on Söderarm we laid out strategies for how to approach the goal. There were many creative discussions where we brainstormed different ideas about how we should work with sales, purchasing, production, KMA and HR. We formed sales teams. At the next general meeting, the groups will tell what is going on.

Söderarm on the island of Torskär

    Economy news

In September, we had to struggle with invoicing. Jurgita did a fantastic job of collecting unpaid invoices. July and August were tough months where, among other things, the summer heat hit sales and earnings. BUT, the year is not over yet and we have the three most important months ahead of us. We will fight to increase sales within forge, glass and metal sections, furnishings and servicesmide.

    Seller of the month

Even though sales fell during the summer months, it was an order party at our last general meeting. The order bell rang for glass walls, forging jobs, diversions, interior forging, wine rack mm

Congratulations Yosef and Torgny who became the seller of the month in September! Yosef received an order for just over SEK 1 million when he sold more metal glass batches NKV with IN3PRENÖR as customer. The project starts in November and should be ready by the end of January. Torgny received an exciting project with an order value of SEK 1.8 million. He sold steel stairs, wrought iron railings and supplementary wrought iron to FSG Entreprenad AB. The project starts in October and will last for about 6 months.

Order party at the forging workshop

    Welcome to Lundgrens

In October, we will receive two interns. Ibrahim will be inside the workshop and Kibrom will be with the service team. We also welcome our new project manager Jyrki. Jussi starts as workshop manager and will be responsible for the workshop and customer reception.

    Team trip

Soon the yellow team goes to Athens to team build. In November, it's time for Eddings to make his first team trip. The iron gang will go to Malta.

    Our projects

As the heat subsided, there was more to do. In September became blue team almost finished with all production for Jägarbacken and they mounted some steel pillars and beams in place. In October, they will continue with the rest of the steel structure. The team also worked with tower wreath the cross for PEAB to be used to build an additional floor at Friends Hotel. Furthermore, the team continued with alternating beams to the attic at Essingen. They made a wrought iron railing and a threshold for the emperor.

The green team assembled copper-clad metal sections on Husfrun and manufactured sheets for Slussen. They started with the installation of the barrier kiosk at Vega station. In addition to this, they did some minor forging jobs. In October, the outdoor cafes at Café Opera and East will be closed.

The red team manufactured the wrought iron frame for the glass café. It will be 3.5 m high and look like a diamond when it is installed and ready in the business center on Ringvägen 100 at the turn of the year. The team manufactured and assembled one steel stairs to a terrace and two gate enclosures. They also made a bakery interior Fabrique Stenugnsbageri on Klarabergsgatan. Furthermore, they delivered frames for sofas and tables as well as one glass part to an office space on Jakobsbergsgatan. The team also started with the production of five metal glass sections for Tegeludden, of which three fire-rated glass sections and two metal sections that are to be clad with stainless steel. In addition to this, they made reinforcing beams of steel for Järfälla bathhouse, drip protection in aluminum for flower boxes and a wrought iron railing. In October, they will make one bakery furnishings to Fabrique Stenugnsbageri which will continue to London. A wrought iron railing for a villa, an staircase and sheet metal cladding of walls in the goods intake to Casino Cosmopol is also underway. They will also install a stair railing indoors with wooden handrails as well as a glass wall indoors and a smaller spiral staircase.

Gula team welded steel beams to an elevator shaft at the Mall of Scandinavia for Peab where Ali and Matija received good feedback from the customer. They always used protective equipment, were nice, easy to work with, good and found solutions! Furthermore, the team installed the glass in the last one the sound wall to On Track in Älvsjö. They also made a glass railing, mounted fire-rated glass sections and raised the ground level to an electrical room with steel beams and floorboards. They also made crash protection, gates, railings and alternating beams. Soon, the last plates for Bjursätra preschool will finally be in place. The service team performed various service assignments and assisted DLP with the assembly of their new waste management. In October, there will be steel doors to Arlanda and metal glass sections to Nya Karolinska.

On The Eddings brothers it was full speed ahead. Between 6-8 people continued to work with MT steel and additional forging in the new emergency care building at Danderyd Hospital. They helped TL-Bygg with 28 metal glass sections for H&M IT. The elevator fronts to Trygg Hansa Huset were almost completed. In October, Eddings will install approximately 16 tonnes of floor forging. Together with Erlandsson Bygg AB, they will be part of a project on Almarevägen where they will deliver and assemble about 100 Peikko plates.

  • Lundgren AB's monthly letter August 2018 - everything in forging

    Welcome back after the holidays!

In recent weeks, we woke up from the holiday hibernation and began to return to work. Now most people are in place after a fantastic summer. There is something certain about entering the second half when everything will be decided. We look forward to this autumn's projects and exciting challenges. With charged batteries, it will be full speed again. Then it can be good to bring out the summer's wonderful memories. We wish you a good start after the holidays. Here we go!

    Results

As we wrote in last month's letter, we achieved a very strong half-year result. Extra fun was that The brothers Edding's Forging sold as much in the first half of the year as they did in the whole year before! To maintain the good result, we need to capture more business and find talent who can carry out our projects. The older generation needs to apple their invaluable knowledge.

    From blacksmith to star salesman!

When I started at LUNDGRENS four years ago, it felt like swearing in church when we talked about sales. No one immediately wanted to feel that they were working with sales. We had our customers and they were the ones who came to us. But, that was not enough for us to reach our growth goals. So we decided to make a bet. We selected six blacksmiths who learned what sales are all about. They received sales coaching and attended Mikael Arndt´'s sales training Mästaren. It was a successful venture because today Adam, Berhane, Mauricio, Mosaad and Yosef work actively with sales and run their own projects.

Today we talk about sales in a completely different way. It no longer feels strange to say that we have to sell more in order to reach our goals. We need to put both time and energy into ensuring that our existing customers are satisfied and that we get new ones. Not everyone may be a salesperson, but everyone at LUNDGRENS sells no matter what we work with!

    Available positions

The market remains hot and there is a high demand for our products and services. We are therefore looking for more forward-leaning project managers. As the jobs roll in, we will need to add blacksmiths and fitters. We are also looking for a workshop manager who can take care of the operations at the workshop so that it works in the best possible way. LUNDGRENS also needs a doer in HR, payroll and administration. Keep an eye out for spring website for more information and application.

    The move

We are looking for a new forging workshop to move our business to. As soon as we have any information, we will share it. If you know someone who is looking for a collaboration, wants to sell a plot or forging workshop in Stockholm, get in touch. We would prefer to buy a forging workshop or plot in the north, but are also open to other opportunities or locations. We have rented out the plot in Rissne for one year.

Motorcycle ambulances for reduced maternal mortality

Eezer will deliver two motorcycle trailers in Burundi at the end of October. They need two fearless and energetic people with them who can assemble the crew on site. Let us know if you are interested in joining.

    Our projects

We have some capacity left over at present and therefore have the opportunity to provide fast service to our customers. In August manufactured and assembled blue team (throw) spiral stairs and straight stairs. They made three glass sections and furnishings. They also started with a forging job for DLP where they will assemble aluminum beams for their waste management. Domenykas and Elvis did a good job of assembling the stairs to Reomti Bygg AB. The team started with the production of forging for Jägarbacken. However, the assembly was delayed by the customer. There was also a delay in the installation of alternating beams for the attic apartment at Essingen.

The green team (glass and metal parts) continued with the copper-clad metal sections to Husfrun. There were various additions to Slussen with elevator fronts in stainless steel, reinforcement plates under elevator doors and a wrought iron railing. They also did a guaranteed job at the National Museum. Furthermore, the team did the last thing with the glass parts for kv Blicken i Handen. The glass wall at Lidingö City Hall was also completed.

The Red Team (interior design) started with the production of the glass cafeteria on Ringvägen 100. They made furnishings in wrought iron Fabrique Stenugnsbageri which will open a new café on Klarabergsgatan. They also made corten plates for the Workman event and made a cooker hood. They made ten tubs in aluminum, a railing with a gate to Järfälla swimming hall and a stainless steel railing to Tyresö swimming hall. They also started with a glass wall and a spiral staircase.

The yellow team (forging and construction service) completed the assembly of the steel frame on On Track at Älvsjö station. Now only the glazing remains before the second sound wall is finished for the newly produced homes. The forging job at Bjursätra preschool was almost completed and now only the last perforated plates are to be assembled. The assembly of the indoor steel doors at Vinstaskolan was in progress. In addition to this, the team manufactured and assembled a custom railing and a gate. They made variety beams and made 12 molds. Furthermore, they made five black-lacquered custom-made stair railings. They started with metal glass sections at Karolinska for In3prenör.

In September, the installation of the barrier kiosk at Vega commuter train station in Haninge awaits. We will make three fire-rated sections and two steel glass sections in stainless steel. Furthermore, table legs and a steel frame are waiting for a kitchen as well as a sheet metal cladding of an arch on Sveavägen.

    The Eddings brothers
At Eddings it was full speed ahead. 8-10 men were running in the new emergency care building at Danderyd Hospital. In addition to MT steel and complementary forging, they will deliver six door sections in the coming weeks. Furthermore, Edding did work at the new Karolinska where they are adapting the roof construction for new hospital equipment in three operating rooms. They will also clad elevator fronts in mirror-polished stainless steel on eight floors at Trygg Hansa Huset. Furthermore, they began to prepare a little before the assembly of 28 glass sections for H&M with TL Bygg as customer. The job includes dismantling of existing lots. The project will run until November.

What a summer we have! Warm, nice and lots of sun. And best of all, summer never seems to end. Many enjoy holidays while others suddenly got used to working in 30 degree heat. A BRILLIANT RESULT! We achieved a very strong half-year result thanks to high demand and our awesome staff. The Group's total sales landed at SEK 42.6 million with an operating profit of 10 %. An incredibly good development! The increased turnover creates good conditions for the second half, which will involve some challenges. There have been changes in the workforce and we need to add more talent who share our vision. At the same time, we need to take care of the resources we have, review the organization at large and find work situations where everyone thrives best. The second half is most important and determines the whole result. We will build on the success we experience and with a fighting spirit for us to reach our goals! IT'S JUST ON AGAIN! Recently we were speculators at a forging company in Stockholm. The sellers chose to move on with another buyer. So we continue our search. If you know someone who is looking for a collaboration, wants to sell a plot or forging workshop in Stockholm, get in touch. Jimmy and Micke received an order for a glass of cafeteria on Ringvägen, which is a deal worth SEK 1.5 million that will be ready by Christmas. Our new star Tomas showed what he was up to already after a few days of work when he sold a staircase to be installed in August. Congratulations to you too! All orders are incredibly valuable for us to achieve our goals and allt starts with the sale. OUR PROJECTS IN July continued blue team with forging work in kv The Emperor of the South ate TL Bygg. They made the railings for a light yard, door thresholds, a railing for a newly manufactured floor in a substation and a bicycle rack for a courtyard. The team also made a cable protection and a ramp for a disabled toilet for Skeppströms Byggnads and stainless steel details for Jästbolaget. Furthermore, they made thresholds and gate extensions in Årsta Partihallar with Thule fastighetsutveckling as the client. The team also manufactured and assembled forging into a glass roof for Metrolit. They continued with the glass railing and the glass wall in Lidingö City Hall, which will soon be finished. The red team did the last thing with the security doors. The wrought iron interior of the Fabrique Stone Oven Bakery was shipped over to New York. The team manufactured and mounted a 4.5 meter long railing and mounted an existing railing of 20 meters. They started manufacturing ten aluminum tubs for Klätterteknik Stockholm AB and a stainless steel railing for Tyresö swimming hall. In August, a railing with a gate to Järfälla swimming hall awaits. It was fun to see Mauricio get into the project manager role so quickly. His wonderful attitude and competence in forging is extremely valuable!  Gula team fought with Bjursätra Preschool. They finished assembling the steel frames and now only the assembly of the cassettes remains. The team installed forging for Vinsta Elementary School. They also installed forging for Lernia in Liljeholmen and manufactured a railing and ramps for the Manager. In addition to this, the team manufactured and assembled railings and gates in wrought iron. The service team did, among other things, a minor service job at Attunda District Court. In August waiting for installation of gates, forging job for On Track in Älvsjö, a pram ramp, installation of doors for Vinsta Elementary School and Karolinska Hospital etc. FINALLY Be sure to enjoy the summer and the nice weather. Slowly everyone is back at work again and soon the hot and sunny days are blown away! You who work make sure to take a break often and drink plenty of water during the hot days.

GOOD FORGING PRODUCTS SHOULD BE OFFERED EVEN DURING HOLIDAY HOURS! Some of us have already gone on holiday and many are leaving soon. Many close their workshops, but not us. We certainly have fewer staff available, but there is always someone on site. We will do our best to handle the situations that arise and answer exciting requests. Hope you can have indulgence and understanding for the increased pressure that some days can bring. WE PUT KUL IN CULTURE With us, it is important that we have kul together when we work. That's why we make sure to do fun things together. Things that make us feel good and make us a more cohesive gang. It can be anything from celebrating jobs that have gone well, grilling burgers, going on team trips to CSR work. Our latest event when we cleaned the farm and celebrated the summer together was a success. What a commitment that came when we cleared together! By throwing away everything unnecessarily, we created more production space and got better conditions to be able to work more efficiently in a safer work environment. No party without a fantastic atmosphere which all the wonderful party participants stood for! Good food, beautiful views, good weather and fun company. Many thanks to everyone who made this year's summer party! The evening was really successful and cool! 5 S - THE IMPROVEMENT FACTORY We drive with 5 S as usual this summer. If you have not already planned activities in the groups, it is high time to do so. After the summer, this summer's 5 S winners will be crowned. PICTURE OF THE MONTH Winner of the picture of the month in May was Jimmy who captured the sunrise in Kenya with his drone. Fabulously beautiful! The winner this month is Micke with the gang behind the interior of Fabriques Stenugnsbageri. Congratulations! FOLLOW US! LIKE US! LUNDGRENS can be found on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. There you can take part in news, vacancies, products, activities, competitions, etc. Social media is by far the best channel for marketing.   feel free to post or write a comment. We are looking for more profit owners, skilled blacksmiths and fitters. For more information and application visit vacancies. EEZER IN ALMEDALEN During Almedalen Week, Eezer will be on site to meet new potential partners, answer questions and invite political representatives on a test ride in the motorcycle ambulance. The trolley that will be in place is the one we were involved in and developed in collaboration with Industriverktyg and Devex Mekatronik. ECONOMIC NEWS In June, the finance department focused on receiving overdue customer invoices. Shame on those who give up and thanks to Jurgita we have more money in the account! Remember to invoice before you go on vacation. We prefer to send and receive e-invoices. OUR PROJECTS In June fought blue team on with the forging jobs in kv Hilton and kv Kejsaren. The green team continued with the work to Strabag at Handenterminalen with installation of glass railing and canopy. Among other things, they did a new glass section from Schüco with a very low U-value that will become popular as energy efficiency becomes more and more important. Everything went well thanks to skilled employees who delivered under time pressure. Further completed green team the barrier kiosk to Slussen and started with additional jobs in blacksmithing. The housewife was working and most of the glazing in the rock room was finished. They started with the assembly of a garage door to be clad with copper. Then a few doors and a gate remain. In August, the team will start assembling a barrier kiosk at station Vega in Haninge. The red team replaced glass in the refrigerated counters at AG's Kötthandel and built a steel section for Müncenbryggeriet. They made glass racks and clad a shelf with quartz zinc for Janax Snickerier. The assembly of the security doors floated on and is finally in the final phase. The team also manufactured screen mounts for trade fair stands for Scania. They started with the production of the interior for Fabrique Stenungsbageri, which will be shipped to New York in early July. Gula team manufactured and assembled fantastically fine furnishings in brass for the Michelin restaurant. Furthermore, they manufactured an indoor railing and made a spiral staircase and frames into a spiral staircase. They finished the forging ramp and started manufacturing railings and gates. Recently returned from a fantastic follow-up trip to Kenya with The Eezer Initiative. I was enchanted by how beautiful Africa is and all the friendly people. We saw that the motorcycle ambulances work and actually save lives in the African countryside. It is an indescribable feeling that we at LUNDGRENS, thanks to your fine work efforts, are involved in making the world a little better. At least it gives me a greater meaning with my work. When we visited the slums in Kibera, I met a little girl who was collecting water in an old goblet that she would drink to survive. She was surrounded by rubbish and bags of feces. My so-called worries suddenly felt very small. Even though they (survive) in terrible conditions, there was a community and joy that I was fascinated by. They took care of each other and shared the little things. They showed joy and gratitude. Just as we have a lot to teach them in how to live, I think we have a lot to learn from them. I could write a book about the trip to Africa, but you have to stick to the next general meeting when we will tell you about the trip. Then we invited Hanna from Bike Babes who was also there. COMMUNITY In Africa, my belief was confirmed that we can solve tasks together in a good community. During the trip, we were faced with a series of unexpected challenges - everything from welding together a broken trailer to being in no man's land. The more we got to know each other, the more we could take advantage of our strengths and, as far as possible, do what we were good at and which we thought was fun. Our doer Jimmy and the motorcycle expert Thomas from IDG Tools welded to the motorcycle pull, Eezer Lars built relationships, Johan Bååth filmed, Hanna worked on a report to be published in the magazine All about MC, Felix & Anna from Devex Mekatronik sharpened the construction while others played with the children. It became easy and fun to collaborate! We had a common goal. And, everything worked out!   In the same way, we want to create a sense of belonging with us in one Culture where we care about each other, get support, cooperate and have space to have kul. It makes work easier, not least when it burns! It does not arise by itself, but everyone must take responsibility for us to get there.   CLEANING DAY & SUMMER PARTY On June 15, we will be helped to clear the yard and in the tent as part of 5 S. We have a lot that we do not need in our production and we will get rid of it. Before the cleaning day, you should mark everything that should be left, the rest smokes. We must dare to throw! When we are done, we celebrate the summer on the Gondola's terrace.   FATIGUES At the turn of the year, we decided to buy workwear from Proman. In the beginning, the delivery times were far too long, but that should be solved now. When you need work clothes, tell Yosef H with a little forethought. No more emergency purchases because it costs us a lot of money.   COMPETITION TIME Soon you have the chance to win one of our wine racks designed by Micke Sjöström. Keep an eye on Lundgren's Facebook page and Instagram.   SALARY NEGOTIATION The salary negotiations with the union have been completed and the new salaries will be paid retroactively from April at the next salary payment. We do not negotiate salaries between audits.   OUR PROJECTS Fun with full employment! In May mounted blue team aluminum floor on two resting levels and stairwells in evacuation stairs for Peab. They installed about 24 meters of supervisors at Kv Hilton. The team also installed stage 2 on Kv Kejsaren for TL Bygg and built a frame for a new elevator. Right now, the assembly of the mezzanine floor is underway in a substation at Kv Kejsaren. The green team continued with Housewife. They were full of jobs before the lock opened in June - barrier kiosks, supervisors, scraper grilles, stainless steel gutters, steel frames and various sheets of sheet metal. The parties to Lidingö City Hall were almost completed. The installation of the glass sections for Strabag in Handen continued. The majority of the glass sections came in place and were glazed. Completed in May red team the screen stands for the pavilion. They installed wine racks on Sturegatan and an entrance to Samsung's new store on Kungsgatan. The team manufactured bathroom foundations and French balconies for brf Brunna Park in Kungsängen. Furthermore, the team made the railings and continued with the installation of the security doors. They finished with one of three interiors for Fabrique Stenugnsbageri. The team also made a protection for a ventilation unit that will soon be ready for installation. Right now, the team is working on a door to the Munich Brewery and work on Rolf Kök's outdoor restaurant. Gula team continued with the manufacture of the forging ramps. They assembled a glass section for a satisfied customer in Kista. The team also manufactured and assembled doors, railings, canopies, a spiral staircase and changes. In June, interior design for the Michelin restaurant, railings, doors, another sound wall for On Track and doors to the New Karolinska Hospital await.   SELLER OF THE MONTH Congratulations David who sold more jobs to Strabag - a glass railing and a canopy!   SMEDER - SEE HERE !!! To handle all jobs, we need more fine blacksmiths and supervising blacksmiths. And, a profit owner. Tip, share, search!

FINALLY! Winter is finally raging and we welcome beautiful May! It is a special feeling to stand in front of the May box and warm up to traditional spring songs. The feeling of having a wonderful summer ahead of you is wonderful! It's time to dump her and move on. Your holiday application is approved. Remember to notify any changes well in advance. Before we go on holiday, we will have Lundgren's annual summer party on June 15. This year we celebrate the summer on the Gondola's fantastic terrace. More information coming soon.   AFRICA The planned trip to Burundi to assemble the motorcycle crew on site unfortunately did not materialize due to a hassle with the visa. We aim for September instead. Thank you Jimmy for all the time you put into getting everything ready for the planned trip. And, thank you Karim who came down to work one Saturday to help with the motorcycle ambulances. What heroes you are!   Now we are charging ahead of the follow-up trip to Kenya in May. The trip is part of the collaboration to develop the motorcycle ambulances for reduced maternal mortality. The purpose is to follow up both the operational activities in the pilot project and to continue to develop the construction of the crew and associated IT systems. It's fun that Johan Bååth will be involved in making a documentary.   PAY REVISION It's time for a pay review. According to the current salary agreement, there is 1.6 % in the salary pot and 0.2 % in the open salary review for you who are a collective employee. For salaried employees, 1.8 % applies to salary increases as of 1 May 2018.   CLOWN NOSE AND ABRASION When red team was on a team trip in Barcelona, new and old colleagues got the chance to get to know each other better. Prior to the trip, the team was divided into two groups with the task of developing a program for one day each. It was a rewarding company visit to the stair supplier Enesca, team exercises with a focus on work environment and team building activities. There were long city walks, burnt noses and abrasions. The team found it rewarding to have time to talk outside of work. Something they want to share before future trips is the importance of a controlled program and that everyone actually participates.   WORK ENVIRONMENT & SAFETY As we previously told you, we made a restart in Lundgren's work environment work. We reviewed the division of tasks and clarified the responsibility. The ultimate responsibility for the work environment lies with us as an employer. From there, the responsibility for tasks within the work environment work has been delegated to the project managers, HR and the workshop manager. It is the project managers who within their projects must fulfill the employer's obligation in accordance with the Work Environment Act and its regulations. The project managers can in turn further delegate tasks within the work environment area to supervisors who have the opportunity to overview and manage the work environment and safety on site. We as employers must ensure that you have the tools needed to remedy the problems and shortcomings that arise. At the restart, we reviewed our routines. We appointed a new safety committee with representatives from staff, workshop, project management and production - both employees and employers as well as safety representatives. Affe, Jimmy, Johanna, Richard and Marco will meet regularly to work on various work environment issues. The work for a good working environment is an ongoing process. We strive to develop and improve. Work environment will be a recurring point at our workplace meetings. We will go on at least four safety rounds per year.   WHAT ARE YOU RESPONSIBLE FOR? It is also your responsibility as an employee to follow laws and regulations and to point out risks, orders and accidents. You as an employee must follow the instructions given in the work environment work. You must use the designated protective equipment and tell them if you discover defects in the work environment. In the event of shortcomings, you should first turn to your project manager. If you do not get hold of the project manager or get a hearing, you can turn to the management or Marco.   THE ORDER IN THE WORKSHOP During the last round of protection, we saw i.a. shortcomings in the general order of the workshop. It was material that lay on the floor and skidded a bit here and there that you could easily stumble upon. We decided that Affe should be responsible for the order in the workshop. Bl.a. all material must be in marked pallets. If Affe sees shortcomings, he will talk to the responsible project manager who will be able to rectify it. I can already see improvements!   RESULT OWNER Now we are looking for another profit owner who wants and has the ability to run projects in one of our business areas. You can read more about the service on LUNDGREN's website.   ECONOMIC NEWS Jurgita did a fantastic job finishing all seven financial statements! A new feature in NEXT is that the invoice type must always be filled in when invoicing to make it easier to follow up on whether the invoice has been sent via email or post. We need to get a more even invoicing for a better cash flow throughout the month. It is one thing to have a good end result, quite another to have the money in our coffers.   SELLER OF THE MONTH Riyam sold an entrance lot in Kista to the LA group for just over SEK 100,000. Yosef received 24 batches for SEK 1.3 million for the new Karolinska starting week 24. Micke received more orders for interiors for Fabrique Stenugnsbageri. CONGRATULATIONS!!   OUR PROJECTS During April did blue team completed stage 1 in kv The Emperor for TL Bygg where they built a new floor in a light courtyard. During the next month, stage 2 will start when they will build a new floor in another part of the light courtyard. The team manufactured and assembled a stand for a new grease separator in a substation for TL Bygg. Furthermore, they mounted a door scope for a rolling door for Peab Kv Hilton. They built a mezzanine floor in the fan room and installed a wrought iron staircase to the Hilton Peab square. The team also installed a forging for the construction of a new stairwell for Thule Fastighetsutveckling. The red team worked with the door sections for Samsung's new store and a display cabinet for Stureplan's hottest advertising space, The Pavilion. They finished 25 wine racks as well as jetties and supervisors for a pool for Komponent Byggen. The jobs went well thanks to our skilled blacksmiths! Furthermore, mthe security doors, which are expected to take another two weeks. Production of two fittings for Fabrique Stenugnsbageri is now pending. It's fun that Fabrique will open his first bakery in New York, where we hope to be a part of the interior design. Furthermore, details of five trade fair stands for Scania and clothing to hide a ventilation unit in a school hall at the Institute of Business Administration (FEI) are underway. The service team was full of service jobs and also had time for some manufacturing and assembly. Further manufactured gula team three wrought iron ramps and manufactured and assembled a variety and a wrought iron railing. Installation of the glass doors to the children's library in Upplands Väsby went well. The preschool in Bandhagen progressed slowly where we are waiting for the delivery of the remaining material. Furthermore, we started partly with the parties to Lidingö City Hall. In May, installation of beams and variations as well as the doors to Nya Karolinska await. We look forward to responding to all quotes we submitted! We have good capacity and have short response times to inquiries!

  • Monthly letter March 2018
Hope you have a wonderful Easter celebration and a nice holiday. It will be an eventful spring and hard work before a well-deserved vacation. Time goes faster than you think and it's time to submit a holiday request. This year we offer you who take at least three weeks holiday during the winter months extra vacation days. This means that you can get up to an extra holiday week.   THE HUMAN FACTOR - IS IT? When there is an accident at work, I often hear: “it could not be done differently ” or "Unfortunately that's what's happening". I've been thinking about it a bit and NO, it's not !! It is easy (and nice) to blame the human factor or external circumstances that we believe we can not influence. We can get better at seeing the underlying causes of the human factor that lead to an accident. We are the ones! It is human to make mistakes and we all do - all the time. So dare to make a mistake! How else can we learn and be able to fix the right things to prevent more accidents from happening? If it is carelessness, time pressure, fear, inability, lack of routines or something else that is the cause, it is time that we do something about it.   A SAFE AND SAFE WORKPLACE When we made a restart in the work environment work, shortcomings in the division of responsibilities of tasks and routines within the work environment work were parts that we had to deal with. We want a Culture where everyone works for continuous improvement for a safe and secure workplace with higher well-being. 5 S is a forum where we have done a lot. Last month, Lilla verkstaden made the most improvements and took home the second 5 S victory in a row. Start each 5 S meeting with a safety review so that we can detect and remedy risks of ill health and accidents in time.   WE ARE LOOKING FOR NEW! If you know someone who is looking for a collaboration, wants to sell a plot or workshop in Stockholm and the surrounding area, get in touch. We would prefer to buy a workshop or plot in the north, but are open to other opportunities and locations.   A GREAT CHALLENGE FOR THE INDUSTRY It is a great challenge for the industry to attract new, young and hungry talent to the profession. Almost two years ago, MVR, together with the Swedish Public Employment Service, started a labor market training for steel builders. In April, the third batch begins and soon they will be out on workplace learning (APL). Shout out if you want to become a supervisor. In March, Ahmad began his internship to develop his knowledge in welding and forging as the last part of his welding education. Wille is his supervisor.     FAITHFUL CUSTOMER DISCOUNT In April, a beginner's and an advanced course in pin welding will begin with our skilled blacksmiths as course leaders. Right now, Medborgarskolan offers a loyal customer a discount to those who have taken the beginner course and who want to deepen their knowledge in welding.     SELLER OF THE MONTH Congratulations Rizwan on the first order! Pling, pling, pling, pling, pling for parties to Lidingö town hall. Shortly afterwards, Yosef H plunged for the order of three ramps to Wacker Neuson. They will be manufactured in the workshop and then delivered to Denmark, Norway and Sweden.   ECONOMIC NEWS Yeah! We reached breakeven in March and got a cruel bill! We have become skilled at collecting unpaid invoices. It's time to pay performance salaries for the first quarter and it will be exciting to see how much our project managers get out. Everyone is fighting and doing a fantastic job! It feels really good that we are on our way to the goal!   OUR PROJECTS A nice feeling arose when everyone was fully occupied again! Now the reverse challenge will be enough resources… In March continued blue team with MT steel, alternations and reinforcements between masonry walls in the new emergency room at Danderyd Hospital. In April, they will assemble pillars and start manufacturing reinforcing steel and terrace railings. Blue team finished the stairs on Kungsgatan. They built a floor in the light courtyard for the emperor. The team installed aluminum thresholds and a screen wall for a reception desk in kv Hilton. They also did blacksmithing at the T-central. Jimmy received an order for the railing in expanded metal on Humlegårdsgatan for Tungel Byggare, which is in the starting pit, congratulations! Prior to this, the team did diversion forging.   The green team continued with the parties to Husfrun and the barrier kiosks to Slussen. It was full speed ahead in Handen where the installation of the glass facade to brf Blicken began to take shape. A large part of the glasses are already in place. The job is one of Lundgren's biggest glass facade jobs! The red team continued with the security doors to be installed in April. In addition to this, they made a glass cover for Cousin's pizza. They made 25 wine racks, built five display stands and did some small work for Janax Snickeri. In April, the team will make a copper-clad sliding door to Samsung's new store on Kungsgatan. They will also make tutors for a pool and a ramp of acid-resistant material for Komponent Byggen. Gula team continued with the sound barrier to On Track in Älvsjö. The glass assembly was completed and the pergola will soon be finished. They made glass doors to the children's library in Upplands Väsby. The assembly of railings and supervisors in Nacka continued. In addition to this, they manufactured and assembled canopies, made a wrought iron railing and mounted glass doors. Eddings was full and we had capacity left over and could therefore help in Smista. Glad they're on their way! In April, the preschool in Bandhagen starts up again and the production of the ramps begins.      THE WORKSHOP MANAGER HAS THE WORD The oxidation space became clear. The ladders and fire extinguishers for hot work were marked and numbered. You can sign them out at Affe. A sign of spring that is here is that it is time to change to summer tires on work cars. When they are replaced, the container will be emptied of anything that has nothing to do with the company's cars. A little 5 S - throw everything away unnecessarily! A wonderful feeling!   CULTURE We perform more if we have fun at work. At the next general meeting, we light the grill in the spring sun. A week later pulls red team to Barcelona to engage in team building. It is really fun that you who work with us make it possible for LUNDGRENS to contribute to Eezer's work to reduce maternal mortality in Africa. In the spring, we will build motorcycle ambulances in Burundi and go to Kenya on a follow-up trip. We also have LUNDGREN's annual summer party to look forward to before we part for a holiday.

  • Monthly newsletter February 2018
THE BURUNDI MISSION HAS BEGUN! Every minute a woman around the world dies due to complications associated with pregnancy or childbirth. The worst affected are the central parts of Africa. Many deaths are due to a lack of transport between home and the maternity clinic. Safe transport that can reach the African countryside is needed. The Eezer Initiative tries to solve this with the help of cost-effective motorcycle ambulances in the most vulnerable areas. At the same time, it creates jobs. It feels fantastic that we at LUNDGRENS are involved in this work! What do we do? Well, Micke S recently took up the challenge of getting the pull to the motorcycle crew that will pass a Swedish inspection. We also started building three ambulance crews in flat packages. When completed, they will be finalized in Burundi in early May. In Burundi, Eezer needs the help of two fearless welding experts who will assemble these on site with the help of local staff. The crew must then be handed over to a clinic. In mid-May, a follow-up trip to Kenya is also planned, with two from LUNDGRENS to accompany. During this trip we will follow up the crew that was produced during the pilot phase. The design, the IT system and the operational part of the business will also be evaluated.   YOUR SECURITY We work in a risky work environment with dangerous machines, noise, heavy lifting, welding fumes, etc. Unfortunately, accidents sometimes occur. We have developed a checklist for risk assessment to prevent accidents. Before you start a job, think about the following points:
    • How do I do the job?
    • Do I have the necessary permits and permissions to perform the work?
    • What can go wrong?
    • What steps must I take to prevent an accident?
    • Do I have the right protective equipment?
    • What should I do if something unforeseen happens?
It is a few minutes that are well invested and remember that your safety always comes first. We will continue to talk about work environment, risks and safety in various forums and work with improvements for a safe and secure workplace.   REVISION EN 1090 In February, it was time for the annual development visit for continued development and to maintain quality in accordance with EN 1090. No deviations were reported. It was fun that we got a lot of praise for the nice order in the workshop. We can thank all 5 S: ers for that! We would also like to thank Fuad for the outstanding work he does with the marking and handling of incoming goods. We will change the structure slightly and appoint a group to work with CE-marked jobs. This is to further increase competence and quality. Are you interested? If so, talk to Jimmy or Richard.   LUNDGRENS & EDDINGS Eddings Smide needs help to speed up sales. Adam will therefore step over there. Eddings has a huge development potential and good team players so it will be really exciting to follow their journey together!   SELLER OF THE MONTH Jimmy had the honor of ringing the new order bell for large orders. It was a ping when he got home a job at TL Bygg where we will build a new floor in a light courtyard. Axel will be responsible for the project and for the production that will take place with us. They will use the entire forging department for about two weeks. Furthermore, Jimmy and Sébastien got a job on 2 glass sections for Skeppströms Byggnads. Two pings in the small order clock! Congratulations!   NOW THEY GOT SO THEY TEG! The mezzanine plane wanted tougher resistance in 5 S. The small workshop accepted the challenge and took home its first victory. Great, what a nice order they created in the area! Now the question is: which group will take home the next 5 S victory?   OUR PROJECTS It was a pure pleasure to accompany photographer Johan Bååth out on the town to photograph some of our jobs. There are so many amazing and cool jobs that we have done over the years! Everyday life returned and the joint journey towards the goal of 100 million in turnover and a profitability of at least 10 % in 2020 began. The result in 2017 was proof that we do the right things and that more and more customers want our help and that you do a good job! The year began in a way that we recognize from previous years. Jobs decreased and some days it is a challenge to find meaningful employment for everyone. It feels a little shaky! As the days get brighter, it will loosen up and instead become a sweaty challenge to get the resources enough. High peaks and valleys, that's what it usually looks like. It will continue if we continue to do as we have always done. Something we can get better at is setting aside time for sales even when there is high pressure. In return, we will have a more even workload, avoid worrying in the valleys and earn more money. So try to keep the sales pitch up!   LUNDGRENS & EDDINGS  The project management team recently visited Eddings Smide to visit the staff, see the machine park and hear more about how they work. We see that Eddings has an enormous potential with talented employees and a workshop where there is opportunity to grow.  Our ambition is for LUNDGRENS and Eddings to grow in different directions and for Eddings to continue to operate as an independent unit. We want to broaden the customer base for increased growth. In the valleys, we must help each other and make use of each other's resources. Initially, Eddings needs to speed up sales, which they today have a hard time keeping up with. Riyam therefore began to help count on jobs. In January, Eddings launched our project management system Next. It opened doors for greater flexibility and better control of the projects.   SELLER OF THE MONTH At the turn of the year, Micke S switched to full-time project management. With his enormous knowledge in forging, courage and willingness to do a good job, he got into the new role very quickly. In January, he received a large order for security doors! Riyam also rang the order bell when she sold a large batch to Liljeholmen. She also got a railing job for Järfälla municipality for Eddings. Congratulations!! It's great to see their selling spirit!   NEW PROJECT MANAGER IN GLASS We started the year by hiring Tom as a project manager in glass. He has extensive experience in glass and has previously worked as a supervisor and site manager in various glass projects. We are always looking for wonderful people with a good attitude and who want to be part of LUNDGRENS. So even if we do not have any vacancies out there, an expression of interest is always welcome! In the future, we will need to expand the force with more supervisors, blacksmiths & fitters and sharp project managers.   WANTS TUGER RESISTANCE The mezzanine plane took home this year's first 5 S victory with the most and best (!) Improvements. In the midst of the joy of victory, they called for a little tougher resistance. So do you accept the challenge to take home the next 5 S victory?   ECONOMY NEWS What a great feeling it was when invoicing broke records in January!  The new year meant that the cost responsibility was divided as follows:
    • Workshop (tools, machines, bearings, consumables) - Affe
    • Cars (purchase, repairs, operation) - Affe
    • Gas - Fuad
    • Work clothes (incl. Protective equipment and laundry) - Yosef H
    • Staff (salaries and other staff costs) - Johanna
    • Operations & Premises (premises, property, insurance, electricity, cleaning, etc.) - Jurgita
ALL purchases must be made in consultation with the person responsible for costs.   THE WORKSHOP MANAGER HAS THE WORD In January, we bought another work car blue team and a new truck with a crane. No more car purchases are planned this year, so now we must take care of the cars in the best way. Canon that you handed in car keys and fuel cards at the end of the working day. Continue to empty the cars of machines and tools. Also remember to mark with an AO number or customer and the responsible project manager if you place something outside the workshop office. When you receive goods on the farm, you must notify Affe or Fuad for more efficient handling of customer jobs.   OUR PROJECTS Blue team struggled in the new emergency room at Danderyd Hospital with a lot of alterations and additional work. As before, they made a cruel effort! Furthermore, the team completed the forging work for Skeppströms Byggnads. They started building a mezzanine floor on Södermalm for TL Bygg. There were also some minor forging jobs and additions to kv Hilton.     The green team continued with the parties on Drottninggatan and to Husfrun. The work with the glass parts in Handen rolled on. Furthermore, the team did some work for ML Demo, gates and installation of door closers. They were almost finished with the forging on Grev Turegatan. The team also installed glass sections for Gustavsson & Son Byggnads on Kungsgatan. They also made balcony railings and diversions into a tenant-owner association. In February, two simpler variants of barrier kiosk fronts await Slussen. From the winter rush into the heat of the workshop. The red team bent aluminum tubes for a prototype for the manufacture of golf carts. The manufactured frames in brass for glass art at Karolinska Hospital and three railings in brass in antique style. Furthermore, the team made a glass counter for a pizzeria, a cover in clover plate for a ventilation unit and an exclusive wrought iron railing for an apartment in the city. They installed sliding doors to a closet and started manufacturing the security doors. Gula team got off to a good start in the new year. They finished the production of the pergola and a stainless steel railing for On Track in Älvsjö. They tore down a staircase and made glass doors and a lattice gate. The gang also helped in Sébastien's project Turbinhallen Järla sjö, SSM's housing project, where they manufactured and installed railings and supervisors. The service guys performed various service work as usual. In February, door installation and installation of railings and a staircase in Käppala treatment plant awaits. In Älvsjö, the pergola will be installed and hopefully the sound wall will be glazed. Riyam's project for a preschool in Bandhagen starts where the team will start assembling the canopy and a staircase. We have many interesting quotes out there that we are waiting for answers. Ruggedly exciting! Just as it is, we are working for high pressure again!

LUNDGRENS New Year's candies At the end of the year, we like to look back on the past year. Here are some glimpses from 2017. The year started well when Adam sold LUNDGREN's biggest project of all time. There was supplementary forging and steel frames for medical equipment in the new emergency care building at Danderyd Hospital. The gang did a fantastic job and became UE of the month in October! We were faced with a real challenge when it came to getting the patination of the copper to all batches that were to be manufactured for Husfrun. In the end we got to it and the project could continue! To cope with the high pressure, we recruited many new talents and today we are 50 employees. Through our 5 S work, we took over one hundred steps closer to a better and safer workplace with higher well-being and better profitability. For our five doers, it was a journey with many interesting meetings and strong impressions when they accompanied Eezer to Kenya to reduce maternal mortality. They tested the motorcycle ambulances in the right environment, handed over two crews, visited schools, were in a Massaiby, repaired a real ambulance and met organizations that will use the ambulances in the future. Another highlight in 2017 was when we became the owners of Bröderna Eddings Smide. Not to mention memorable team trips around Europe as we got to know each other better and built relationships. The best of all is probably that 2017 was a record year with the best result in LUNDGREN's history !! We paid out SEK 1.3 million in performance salaries to our project managers (performance owners) who contributed to the fantastic result. In a completely unique way, they took full responsibility for the business, both sales and implementation of their own projects! NOW WE ARE AIMING FOR NEW GOALS - 100 MILLION LUNDGREN's overall goal is to increase sales and to achieve a profitability of at least 10 %. The goal is for us to have a turnover of 100 million by 2020. How do we get there? Growth will take place both organically and through acquisitions. We will eexpand the customer base while ensuring that existing customers remain satisfied. We want to be the most efficient partner for both customers and suppliers. We will offer our customers the best solutions in forging and glass with the help of high technical competence. Community, 5 S, recruitment, profit ownership, Kul-Tur, collaboration with suppliers, skills development and appealing are in focus. It is important that we see the goal and not get caught up in the obstacles along the way. There is nothing that works completely painlessly and we should not be afraid to make mistakes. It happens from time to time and the important things are that we learn because that is when we will reach the goal. NEW WORKSHOP MANAGER In December, Affe took over as workshop manager. He was given responsibility for the logistics around transport and deliveries, tools & machines, warehouses, cars as well as customer reception and small jobs. THE IMPROVEMENT FACTORY Congratulations to the group for public spaces who took home the second victory in a row for the most performed 5 S-improvements. New carpets, shoe dryers, mufflers, shelves, etc. We will continue to run 5 S every Friday with mandatory attendance. WELDING COURSES In January, new welding courses start and Samer makes his debut as a course leader. TEAM BUILDING IN BUDAPEST The green team had a good team trip in Budapest. They got quality time together and got to know each other better through team building activities.   OUR PROJECTS In December mounted blue team reinforcement beams on Kungsgatan for Tungel Byggare. They helped in Micke's project at Norrtäljeanstalten where they built a large canopy. The team also did service work at Jästbolaget and the social administration in Stockholm. They made a canopy for Baxter for NCC which is ready for installation. The gang at Danderyd continued with the assembly of MT steel and did some additional work. EAT jobs are almost up to SEK 2.5 million !!! The platform stand for the cooling unit in Ljljeholmen for TL-Bygg came into place. The inspection went excellently and was without remarks. Both the customer and the designer were satisfied! Wille did a nice job with the railing for Friskis & Svettis in Abrahamsberg. The customer was satisfied and we got more jobs for their facilities. Furthermore, the diversion to the Trygg Hansa building on Flemminggatan was completed. The guys had to work at night and did a very good job. In January will blue team build a mezzanine for TL Bygg on Kv Kejsaren, install a fire mail pipe on the facade for Moab in Veddesta and do forging work on Strandvägen for Skeppströms Byggnads. The green team worked mostly with the manufacture and installation of facade sections with special glass on Drottninggatan. The team got up two thirds of the job and the rest will go up in January. In the project, we bought the facade sections and built two swing doors and five sliding doors ourselves. Furthermore, the team continued with Husfrun, which will continue for a while into the spring. At the beginning of next year, parts for two barrier kiosks will be delivered to Slussen. The team was strengthened with glass fitter Dimitris and Nader got a job. The red team assembled copper-clad sections for Högabolagen and made a brass curtain rod for Brasseri La Colline. In 2018, the team will work with restaurant interiors for Jonas Bohlin, party production and security doors. Made in December gula team pergola to On track in Älvsjö and they were almost finished with the assembly. In addition to this, the team manufactured a stainless steel railing, beams and brackets for a screen wall. The service guys were busy with various service work. In January, more jobs await in Käppala treatment plant, demolition of a staircase in Nacka and production and installation of four doors. In addition to this, 12 wine racks were manufactured, the work with luminaires and flower boxes for Jakobsberg's center and the glass sections in Handen continued. We also helped to rebuild the motorcycle ambulance to Eezer so that it will cope better with the difficult terrain in the African countryside. THANK YOU ALL Finally, we would like to thank all the customers we worked with during the year and who gave us the trust. Thank you to all the suppliers who helped us with products and services in the projects. And, many thanks to ALL the fantastic employees who took care of our customers and each other in by far the best way. It has been fantastic to see you develop both individually and as a team. Now we put an end to the 65th chapter. Expectantly, we look forward to an unwritten sheet. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

  • Monthly newsletter November 2017
WE HAVE A DAUGHTER! In November, we became proud owners of Bröderna Eddings Smide. Eddings has been active since 1945. Torgny Stolt has run the company for some time. There are 11 employees and Torgny is one of those who worked the longest. Torgny with staff will continue to run the company as before with the support of selected parts of LUNDGREN's system for project follow-up. Their focus is construction forging, fine forging and service. Initially, we will focus on speeding up sales, implementing a new finance program and NEXT and coordinating transport. We will get to know the staff and review the need for development and resources. They are skilled and we are skilled - together we will be awesome! For more info about Edding's visit www.eddings.se THE FEELING OF RINGING THE ORDER CLOCK FOR THE FIRST TIME IS PAYABLE A bubbly Riyam rang the order bell 12 times and invited for coffee and bubbly to celebrate that she got her first real order! With the help of Yosef H as a coach, she got a job worth SEK 1.2 million. They will deliver and install a large canopy, sunshades, a railing and three stairs to a preschool. The project starts in early 2018. The fact that she received help from a skilled and experienced project manager was valuable and made the road to success easier. Together they will carry out the project gallantly. Since Riyam started at the end of August, she has struggled to get into the match. This is proof of a very good work effort and a working collaboration. Congratulations Riyam and Yosef!   MC AMBULANCES FOR REDUCED MOTH DEATH After melting the Kenyan trip, LUNDGRENS decided that we will continue to be involved in the development project Eezer, which works to reduce maternal mortality in the world. The next step in the project is to improve the existing motorcycle ambulance so that it can better cope with the difficult terrain in the African countryside. Devex is developing a drawing for the manufacture of welding jigs. The templates will then be sent to a local workshop in Africa for the manufacture of the wagons. The goal is to build 30 crews in 2018 that will be lent to local organizations in Kenya, Burundi and Congo. A screening sex that passes the Swedish inspection will also be built. Feel free to read the article about Eezer in the magazine Svetsen.   EVERYONE AT LUNDGRENS Workplace is like an intranet that enables us to communicate with each other in a smooth and fun way. We can write posts, share photos, create groups and events, chat, etc. Next everyone is involved, so join us even if you have not already done so. Also, remember to check your email periodically. Now there is a loan computer that you can use if you need to register times, check emails, attend web-based courses etc.   SUCCESSFUL TEAM RESORTS! Gula team had a super trip in Las Palmas. It was team building at a high level with get-to-know-you exercises, 5-fight, wrestling, excursion in the mountains and much more. They visited a forging workshop that we hope we can start a collaboration with. There were many newcomers on the trip and the group formed a team with a common goal. They agreed that cooperation is the key to success. One of the participants, who has worked for many years in the forging industry, said that he had never experienced anything like this before. Blue team trip to Malta was also memorable. The feeling of security was present in the group and the gang became a close-knit team. Now charging green team for his trip to Budapest in December.   WORKSHOPS In November, Jimmy gave an esteemed introduction to CE-marked projects for new employees. We plan to have workshops on various topics in the future. Feel free to come up with suggestions for themes where there is a need for competence development.   TURN OFF THE FANS! It's starting to get cold outside and the construction fans are on in the workshop. It happens quite often that there is a full cutter on the fans during evenings and weekends. There is a lot of energy that we waste and here there is money to be saved. It is also worth remembering that we do not work as well when it is too hot. For mobile or physically strenuous work, the temperature should be at least 14-15 ° C, it does not have to be sauna heat...   ECONOMIC NEWS We reached breakeven in November and ended up above this zero point! Right now there is a lot of focus on project accounting and the finance department is working full time for an even better and simpler overview.   OUR PROJECTS Congratulations to the gang at Danderyd who were named UE in October! They did a fantastic job and received much praise for their commitment. In November they continued with the assembly of MT steel and did a lot of additional work. Further did blue team service jobs at Jästbolaget and variety bars on Kungsgatan and Strandvägen. They installed a self-supporting staircase with glass railings for NCC in Kista. The team also mounted a stand for a platform for a cooling unit on a roof in Liljeholmen for TL Bygg. The job is expected to be completed in mid-December. They made a change to the Trygg Hansa house on Kungsholmen. A railing job for Friskis & Svettis in Abrahamsberg awaits the team. ' The green team continued with copper-clad sections to the Housewife. They also started manufacturing sliding and swing doors for Drottninggatan. The Blicken project continued with the assembly of about 30 glass sections. The red team completed the coolers for AG's new Meat Store and made door sections in copper for Högabolagen. In addition to this, there were some small jobs such as moldings, frames, railings, etc. Micke S came into the project manager role more and more and made furnishings for Fabrique Stenugnsbageri. He also worked with sliding doors to a wardrobe that the customer designed himself. It was also time to start assembling the canopy for special properties. Furthermore, Affe delivered a rig to a vinsh. All jobs in the IBM house for the LA group were completed and a canopy was installed. Gula team completed the assembly of door sections in the Concert Hall and at St. Göran's Hospital. They installed a lattice gate on Fridhemsplan. The team also installed lattice floors, railings and ladders in plastic for the Käppala treatment plant. They assembled steel for glass walls for On track in Älvsjö and now work is underway on the pergola and glazing. As usual, the service guys were busy with various service work. In the coming weeks, the team will manufacture doors and various forged products. Otherwise helped Rizwan even made drawings for the project managers.   MÅLRAKAN It is suffering towards Christmas and some well-deserved days off are waiting. All applications for holidays during Christmas and New Year are approved. Remember to notify any changes as soon as possible. Finally we are in the finish line and now I want to see a real final sprint !! It's sickly exciting and you do a really good job. Continue with it straight into the goal!

We are now tightening the requirements for personal protective equipment  We are obliged to follow safety regulations at construction sites. It is NOT ok to be careless !! We are now tightening the requirements for personal protective equipment. We at LUNDGRENS will always wear a warning vest, helmet, safety shoes and goggles when we are out working. Gloves and hearing protection must also be included. For your own safety and health, you should always use this basic equipment. If there are other requirements, you must follow it - period.   40 welding samples in one day In October, there was a welding test at LUNDGRENS. First out were eight of our new skilled welders who took tests in MMA and MAG. Then the ambitious participants from the welding courses took over and took tests in MMA and TIG. Everything went at a furious pace. What a great job Torbjörn from Inspecta did who supervised about 40 samples during one and the same afternoon !! The result was outstanding - 99 % were approved! Last week, two full-fledged beginner courses in MMA started. More courses in MMA and TIG will start after the turn of the year.   The end of cleaning campaigns! 5 S is a priority area for LUNDGRENS to achieve the overall goals with increased sales and better profitability. The improvement leaders for the 5 S groups decided that all groups should run 5 S at the same time to make it easier to participate. Drop the broom when you see each other and spend time with 5 S and the improvement factory! I was so happy last Friday when I saw that more and more people were working towards the common 5 S goal - a better and safer workplace with higher well-being and better profitability. Keep it up and the cleaning campaigns will end soon!   Christmas holidays Soon it's Christmas again and we need to plan our business. It's time to apply for leave and you do it in NEXT. We work to ensure that everyone has their wishes met, so come in with your application on time.   Christmas party December 1 is the Christmas party. This year we will be at the charming Canaan Garden Cafe. We will enjoy a well-cooked Christmas table with a lot of love. The evening ends with a bar hangout, mingling and dancing before the bus returns to town. Hope you and your respective will!   Teambuilding in Gran Canaria and Malta When we started team travel almost three years ago, some cheered while others asked: what should it be good for? We already know each other! The purpose of the trips was precisely to get to know each other to do an even better job together. Of course, a lot of team building takes place at small talk and at the coffee table, but there must also be forums where we can further strengthen the team spirit and develop as a group. When the teams came home from their travels, everyone told how much fun they had had. Everyone could attest that they got to know each other in a completely new way because there was so much they did not know about each other. By changing the environment and gathering outside of work, a we-feeling was created that increased well-being and made the teams easier to collaborate.   In November, it's time for gula team to go to Gran Canaria and blue team moves to Malta. The programs will look different depending on what the teams need to develop. There will definitely be a lot of laughs, interesting discussions with many good ideas, draws and, above all, more close-knit teams.   Economy news Sales increased by 30 % compared with the same period the year before and profitability remains good. During October, a lot of improvements were introduced to streamline financial work. The project managers began to take personal responsibility for customer invoicing. In order to be able to follow up costs in a better and more efficient way, we reduced the chart of accounts. A new routine for following up overdue accounts receivable was introduced. We also started the budget work and responsibility for various items was assigned. You can see who is responsible for the budget and who you should turn to for various issues in our internal presentation of "Employees at Lundgrens".   Autumn pepper The days get darker and it is often rain and debris. As a little nice autumn pepper, we intend to end the next big meeting with a well-deserved afterwork. Gredelin Gastro Hubs comes with its food truck and serves gredelinburgers. We need a little extra energy in the autumn darkness so that we can fight to the last for a record year!   Our projects Right now we run our annual drive of wine racks. Restaurant Leijontornet, Vinkällaren Grappe and Magnusson Fine Wine are some of our most famous customers. Wine racks are delivered in all forms and we also have our own design of wine racks. In October manufactured and assembled blue team a slender wrought iron railing and supervisor for a private person who was involved in designing the railing. They installed a roof ladder to Elektronikhöjden in Järfälla and dismantled doors in a floor for Moab. They mounted a door frame for a quick-roll door and reinforcement forging for a Paroc wall. Furthermore, the team manufactured and assembled a gate to an outdoor terrace for Tungel Byggare. The gang at Danderyd put MT steel. They have received a lot of praise from the client for all the work they do, great fun! Furthermore, the Skanska team at Haga hotel helped with various forging work before the final inspection. They also did some forging work for NCC in Gröndal. In addition to this, they started manufacturing the roof platform that will be installed in November. Then a montage of a new floor also awaits Åke Sundvall. Beam changes and a wrought iron staircase for Tungel Byggare on Kungsgatan are also planned. The green team had full focus on Husfrun with the production of copper-clad parts. They glazed above ground so that the house became tight. The team finished the glass wall at Södra station and assembled parts at the National Museum. They made plates for scraper grilles and crash protection for pillars in a parking garage. The outdoor seating at the Café was dismantled. Furthermore, they started with the batch production for Kvarteret Hägern on Drottninggatan. The red team helped with Husfrun and started assembling the refrigeration units for the new Meat Shop. They made glass racks for the La Colline restaurant. Furthermore, they made a water game in the form of a tub with a stand for the flowers. Everything according to the customer's wishes! Gula team assembled forging for On Track in Älvsjö and continued his work in the Concert Hall. They made a pergola forged. In addition to this, they mounted a glass railing, a lattice gate and scopes for a glass section. The service guys were busy as usual with various service work. New project management team completed the assembly of beams in Kista. Finally, one of Stockholm's most beautiful railings came into place at Urskogen's preschool. It was a completely new special solution according to NCC's wishes. Fathi and Bahman showed a sense of quality in manufacturing. Belal and Javier then performed a very efficient assembly. Project managers David and NCC were very pleased with the results and the collaboration. In November, one  self-supporting steel stairs with glass railings are mounted. The work of finding new suppliers is ongoing. The inquiries continue to pour in and thanks to our new strength, we can provide quick answers.

Do you work here? One day quite recently, our CEO Richard was out in the workshop to check on a job. Then one of our new employees came up to him and asked: do you work here?? It made us realize how important it is that we have coffee together and get to know each other. We have really accelerated and so far this year we have employed 18 people! In addition, we have had trainees, summer workers and hired staff. We are new and unknown to each other. It takes more than greeting the first day for us to know who everyone in the company is and what we can do. A good opportunity for this is to just have coffee together.   Introduction The first time as a newcomer to the job is important. It is very new and it is important to get acquainted with the routines at the new workplace, gain insight into the company's structure and get to know the culture. Even if the new employee has had similar tasks in the past, routines and requirements may differ. A good introduction is AO. Without it, there is a risk that new employees will be put on the wrong type of job with expectations that they are unable to live up to. It is unreasonable to expect new employees to be self-sufficient from the beginning and that they should know how we think and act at LUNDGRENS. It takes time, maybe a whole year ??! I think everyone new should have a mentor who coaches during the first time. A designated person that they work with and that they can ask. The mentor instructs which way the job should be performed and what is expected. In the meantime, we get to know each other, find forms of cooperation and see what the new employee's ability is in practice. The introduction at LUNDGRENS needs to be better. What do you think it should look like?   Employee interviews Employee interviews began and will continue in October. It is a conversation about your work situation, performance, well-being, work environment and development.   How was it in Kenya? Our heroes Axel, Bahman, David, Jimmy and Richard were in Kenya to help with Eezer's development efforts to reduce maternal mortality in the African countryside. A total of 15 people went. During the week, they helped hand over two motorcycle ambulances, visited schools, were in a Massaiby and helped repair a real ambulance. There were many interesting meetings and strong impressions. At the next general meeting, they will tell more about the trip and what they have in mind about the continued collaboration with Eezer.   We sell all the time! Everyone can sell and we sell all the time, both privately and at work. We sell our ideas, a job, vacation plans, salary, messages to our children, etc. It was gratifying that some took the opportunity to develop in sales. Some participated in Mikael Andt's sales training The Master who is all you need to become a cruel salesman! It was also a group that spent an entire day (Closers Only) with lectures from some of Sweden's foremost lecturers, entrepreneurs and business leaders in sales. During the day, they received inspiration and new knowledge. Among other things, they learned more about how the sales process works, buy signals, presentation technology and how to work with different customer types.     What a week! During one and the same week, we combed home a number of significant orders. Bosse sold facade sections to Drottninggatan for SEK 2.2 million, Adam received an order for a roof for a cooling unit of SEK 1.3 million + on an ongoing basis, Yosef H sold wrought iron to NCC for SEK 500,000 and Micke received an order for service of bakery trolleys. We celebrated that with gofika!   Now we are raising the hourly rate The new hourly charge from 1 October is SEK 600 / hour.   Our projects Blue team continued to install a grid in the new emergency care building at Danderyd. The mounted stairs in the basement and L-steel around the facade to a storage space for lots. Evacuation stairs to the roof are on the entrance. In addition to this, the team installed an entrance section on Liljeholmen for TL Bygg. Furthermore, they worked with sheet metal applications for Söderenergi, a stair railing and the expansion of a container garage. The green team continued with Housewife. It was the manufacture of copper-clad parts and glazing as well as the delivery of nine doors and a large number of copper-clad parts. They assembled the elevator shaft and began assembling sections in the rock chamber. In addition, the team assembled one of two lots for the National Museum. They also installed a glass wall at Södra Station and manufactured glass frames with glass for CL Specialglas. The red team continued with the new meat shop and batch production. They also started with a staircase. The yellow group made a fire glass party with brass moldings in the Concert Hall. Furthermore, they made two doors in Rissne and a lattice gate into a tenant-owner association. In addition to this, various production of forging for On Track in Älvsjö. Our new project managers were busy counting on jobs. Rizwan made drawings and Affe was out at IBM and made sure everything was ready for the final inspection. It went well and the result was very nice. David continued with the railings for NCC to Utskogen's preschool. Riyam received his first order which was a ramp and Sébastien will now start with a staircase.

Welcome back! Hope you had a really nice and wonderful summer! We look forward to an autumn that offers very exciting and many challenges - new colleagues and suppliers, appealing, fun projects, team building, Kenyaresa etc.   Motorcycle ambulances for reduced maternal mortality Did you know that a woman dies every minute due to complications associated with her pregnancy or childbirth? 99 percent of all the hundreds of thousands of women who die live in low-income countries, of which three quarters in Africa. In Tanzania, 23 women die every day from complications associated with childbirth. Almost one an hour! Transport between home and maternity clinic is often a bottleneck that the development project Eezer is trying to solve with the help of motorcycle-based ambulances. When these motorcycle ambulances appeared on Facebook, we immediately became interested in knowing more. We wanted to find something to get involved in where LUNDGRENS can make a difference.   In September, LUNDGRENS will accompany Eezer to Kenya to test the crew in the right environment and build relationships with two organizations that will use these ambulances in the future. They will also test a tracking system in the field. For LUNDGREN's part, it will primarily be an orientation trip where we get to see on site what Eezer is trying to do and what conditions there are for working down there. In the long term, we hope to be able to contribute with concrete efforts within what we are good at. With our five doers who will accompany us on the journey, the ideas have already begun to flow. It will be very exciting to follow the journey on Facebook @eezerinitiative and AL Lundgren, among others. You can read more about the concept of www.eezer.se   Welding courses Two years ago, we started running welding courses in collaboration with Medborgarskolan with our skilled blacksmiths as course leaders. This week, three new welding courses in MMA and a pilot course in TIG started. It's fun that the interest in welding is so great. Everything from the 80-year-old who dreamed of learning to weld to those who need a welding certificate at work. 99 % of all participants have so far passed the welder test. A receipt for good course leaders!   A historic step in LUNDGREN's development In August, we took the step from a small company to a medium-sized company. We are now over 50 employees! In addition, we employ temporary staff and trainees. What a fantastic bunch we have that is at the customers' disposal!   Teamwork There are many new ones at LUNDGRENS. How do we create and nurture close teamwork and a family team spirit as we grow? How do we build one Culture where we thrive and have fun together? Team spirit is not something that arises by itself. It is required that we work towards common goals and get to know each other, thrive and have fun together. We often know too little about each other and what we can and we do not understand each other's roles. But, the more we know about each other the better we will work together. This is when we can benefit from each other's knowledge and personalities and the team becomes a means to achieve set goals. Therefore, it is important that the team trips are off for us to develop and nurture our teams. And, to build a positive Culture.   5 S We need 5 S more than ever. We are cramped. For that reason, we need to create more production space and better order in the workshop for the jobs to flow in a safe and pleasant working environment. So throw everything away unnecessarily and make sure that every thing has its place. Once you have done that, you are ready to create the rules and routines that must be followed. Everyone at LUNDGRENS must belong to a group - new and old. Now we start with the 5 S work, again!   Our projects In August, we manufactured exclusive specially designed railings for NCC for Urskogen's preschool. It was full speed ahead at IBM with stairs, pergola and glass sections. Blue team reassembled Paroc walls and manufactured sheet metal cladding for Söderenergi in Södertälje. They repaired two signs in front of the Enforcement Officer's entrance in Sundbyberg. Furthermore, the team repaired the railings in Hammarby Sjöstad and installed a traverse track for Rexab in Ringen's shopping center. They installed a floor for a terrace at Kv Eken in Sundbyberg. The second half started a bit bumpy at Danderyd with many obstacles and stops. The team therefore had to help in other projects. However, there were some additional orders so now some are running again at Danderyd. In September, the team will assemble an entrance lot to TL Bygg. The green team continued with the production of copper-clad batches for Husfrun. They were completed at Strand Hotel and St. Göran's Hospital. It went well despite the fact that it is a bit of a chore with door replacements in public environments. Furthermore, the team worked on forging jobs on Grev Turegatan and various smaller forging jobs. Gert received an order for 45 doors to be replaced at Svenska bostäder in Gubbängen. The red team was working on refrigerators for the star chefs' meat shop, which will open on S: t Eriksgatan this autumn. They worked with a glass section for Jonas Bohlin Arkitektkontor. Then they should start with straight glass and a door section in copper. Gula team did the last thing before the final inspection in the Teaching House at KTH. They also did forging jobs at the Concert Hall and door assembly.

  • Monthly newsletter July
Unbelievable! What a half-year result it was for us! During the first six months of the year, net sales rose to SEK 31.9 million. This was an increase of 20 percent compared with the same period in 2016. The operating profit landed at a record SEK 3.5 million! The first half is important and creates conditions for the second half. The second half is most important, it determines the whole result. There are good conditions for the trend to continue. Demand is high and we have a cruel workforce. During the second half, we will continue to focus on recruitment and capturing more business!     Why say no when we can say yes? We have an interesting situation to solve. The high pressure continues and we have a workshop with limited space. We do not want to say no to an order because we have a full workshop. That is why we look up and focus on new solutions that actually exist around us. Already today we buy a large part of the heavier forging and standard products. We will make an effort to develop the collaboration with existing suppliers and find more that we can hire. All in accordance with the business' requirements for quality and that we live up to our commitments to the customer. It is important that we manage deliveries on time and with promised quality. In the workshop, we will continue with special manufacturing such as clad parts, interior design etc.   Welcome to the gang! Having a need for staff is positive. It is a receipt that customers demand our products and services. This summer we hired Rozbeh as a driver and Romodan and Ghinia as blacksmiths. In addition to this, we received the trainees Elvis, Ali and Festus from Crossroads Stockholm City Mission who help EU citizens into work. In February, I was given the challenge of recruiting 1-2 project managers. No easy task considering that there are major recruitment difficulties for all professions in the entire construction industry right now. It was important to find employees with the right skills and the right ability and attitude for the work to be performed. I got started and started looking in different channels, conducting a large number of interviews, reference shootings, etc. In the end, we found four project managers who will start in August. It is David who is a great seller and buyer, Syed with experience in architecture and interior design and who is great at CAD drawings and constructions. Sébastien who is an experienced project manager in the construction industry and Riyam with great interest in project management and environmental issues. Richard will apple (TM Richard Lundgren) and contribute with their expertise and above all technical knowledge in forging. Affe will also be part of the team. Together, they will develop cooperation with existing suppliers and find new ones.   Culture A good day for me is usually when I had fun. It can be when I get to perform and do something new at work or when I hang out with friends and family. We spend about 50 percent of our waking time at work. In other words, it is important to feel good and have fun at work. We are convinced that both LUNDGREN's profitability and your health and well-being will increase if you have fun at work. We want LUNDGRENS to be a workplace where we laugh together, share our ideas and knowledge, dare to make mistakes, are generous with praise and compliments, have coffee together and celebrate success. All in a positive atmosphere where there is a sense of community and joy that makes the job more fun and that we collaborate better and become more efficient! If we have a positive attitude, look up and see new opportunities, luck will come with us. Luck comes with those who expect something good and who have positive expectations that surpass adversity.   The move It recently became clear that we will be able to remain in our existing premises until April 2019.   Ouch! In July, unfortunately, an occupational injury occurred when a beam was to be lifted. Wrong lifting technique was used and the back was beaten. Lifting and carrying heavy loads is one of the daily chores in our work. Many work injuries are due to incorrect loading of the body. Improper lifting technology, one-sided work, poor equipment and incorrectly designed workplaces are just a few factors that can cause problems. To spare the body, it is important that you have knowledge of how to lift in the best way. The most common mistake is to lift with our backs instead of our legs. It is important that we learn a good lifting technique and use it. Education will come this fall.   Our projects Blue team continued with the Hilton district, the attic renovation and Söderenergi. They worked in the LA Group's project for IBM in Kista with pergola smithy, stairs, glass railings and doors. According to the plan, the project will be completed in September. They were busy with the new emergency care building at Danderyd. They manufactured and assembled, among other things, two door enclosures, 150 steel frames and elevator beams. The team thought it was an educational first half and they feel satisfied. They will take the lessons into the second half. They are tagged and convinced that they will make an even better second half together. The green team completed the barrier kiosk in Jakobsberg and managed a good distance with the barrier kiosks at Södra station. The elevator shaft at the National Museum was completed where they will assemble two sections. Furthermore, the team installed a door at the National Arena and Husfrun was in full swing with e.g. manufacture of copper clad parts.  The red team manufactured furnishings and lots for the meat shop AG. Gula team fought into the last at KTH. Little grid remains. In addition to this, they manufactured glass sections, doors, railings and canopies.

    Have a nice summer!!

It is holiday time and so it is for us at LUNDGRENS. We will be open all summer and have a lot of projects underway. We hope that everyone can have indulgence and understanding of the pressured work situation this summer. We will do our best to find solutions and answer inquiries and questions.
We need to become more blacksmiths, fitters and project managers!
LUNDGRENS is constantly looking for skilled and committed employees to be able to grow in step with development. We are looking for employees who share our values and want to be involved and contribute to the development and make a difference for our customers. In nine out of ten cases, the difference between a successful and a less successful recruitment is the candidate's attitude and attitude to the job. That is, how the candidate fits into the gang and how he or she takes on his or her duties. It never has to do with a resume. We strive to maintain our strong and positive corporate culture where you as an employee are involved in the company's development, can influence and have fun together. For the right person, the development opportunities are good. We are very proud of the competence and broad experience that exists today. We have never had such a good strength as now! And, we need more to be able to do even more business!
    Great job!
We gathered one afternoon in June at the workshop with the challenge of making at least 20 improvements over three hours. The 5 S-groups got started and made a total of 34 improvements! It was fantastic to see everyone working towards the common goal - a better and safer workplace with higher well-being and better profitability. I saw commitment, creativity, cooperation, humor, sweat and pride. Storage spaces, stump racks, common tool boards, bench for the changing room, new cutlery and sorting of materials were some of the improvements. Now we will continue to work towards the goal and make even more improvements. It's just rubbing because we're well on our way. The only way to reach the goal is to take one step forward and then one more and one more. If we do that and stick to a certain direction, we will reach where we want. It's actually not harder than that!
    Summer party
We celebrated the summer together at Djurgårdsbrunn's inn. It was a great evening with lots of laughter, boules, barbecue buffet, barbecue tips, games and awards! Thank you to everyone who came and contributed to a great summer party!
    Our projects
In June mounted THE BLUE GROUP stairs in Kista, variety beams at the Royal Tennis Hall and paroc elements at Söderenergi. They mounted anchor rails on seven floors to an elevator shaft on Strandvägen. They will now rebuild the top of the lift and strengthen it with beams in the attic. Furthermore, the group worked with the shaft and the fan room at kv Hilton and mounted a glass section at kv Kabeln. In addition to this, they manufactured a railing for a villa and did various service work for Etab and Eltel. They also manufactured 250 adjustment rods that will be placed at various train stations in Stockholm to secure monitors with traffic information. The new emergency room at Danderyd Hospital was in full swing, where the gang, among other things, mounted grid and made some additional orders. The group introduced delivery within 24 hours at ÄTA-jobb !! After the holidays, Jästbolaget is on tour with a container garage, license plates and some service work. THE GREEN GROUP continued with Housewife. The National Museum got the elevator shaft at the entrance on site. Brass moldings are made for the group to cover the shaft with and glazing with Hammerglas is underway. The group also started with another barrier kiosk to Södra Station. In addition to this, they were at S: Göran's hospital to exchange a total of 20 doors for Skanska. There are a couple of doors left that will be completed in July. Metrolit is in the process of a major renovation of the Strand hotel on Nybrokajen. In collaboration with Besam, we changed the entrance and a couple of interior parts that will be completed in July. Furthermore, the group began to install wall panels, elevator fronts and sections in Trygg Hansa's head office on Kungsholmen. In July, a couple of forging jobs for ML Demo on Grev Turegatan / Humlegårdsgatan will start. THE RED GROUP manufactured glass walls for Jureskog. They started with the new meat shop for AG, where they will manufacture and assemble wine racks, service counters, refrigerators, etc., which will be ready by the end of October. The group also made two glass sections and a railing for the School of Architecture.  YELLOW GROUP was busy with various service work such as changing hinges at Norrtäljeanstalten. It was full swing at KTH and they made a spiral staircase in Danderyd and a canopy to Sturehof. In addition to this, they did blacksmithing work in the Concert Hall, a railing, a change to Fridhemsplan and a glass wall to Olle Rex.
    Have a wonderful summer!
It is a wonderful time ahead of us. We get to enjoy beautiful summer days and some well-deserved holidays. Expectations are never as high as before the summer holidays. It is important to take advantage of the time. When it is dark and cold, it is this time that we will long to return to and remember. Therefore, you should think about what you need to do to enjoy your vacation. My advice is to put desire and will before musts and demands. Let the grass grow and let the time be! Allow yourself to relax and enjoy. You're worth it! We at LUNDGRENS wish everyone a wonderful summer! We want to thank you for an absolutely fantastic first half year! Staff, customers and suppliers! Without you we are nothing!

It feels like May is over before it even began. It was full swing in the workshop and right now we are working hard to get as much as possible ready for the holidays.

    SUMMER PARTY
Before everyone disappears on their way, we want to celebrate the summer with you. We do this at Djurgårdsbrunn's inn where we start with a boules tournament and then eat a good barbecue dinner in a wonderful atmosphere by the water. The evening's chef will share his best barbecue tips.
WE ARE GOING TO THE GOAL
Many feel that we need more time to perform 5-S activities, to be able to participate in the meetings and that we need to coordinate with other groups to get ahead with 5 S. Therefore, we will spend half a day at 5 S (before the summer party) . Everyone should participate and new ones should be introduced to the method. In three hours we will have time for at least 20 improvements! Each improvement is one step closer to the common goal - a better and safer workplace with higher well-being and better profitability.
    I GET SO HAPPY
I am really happy that you take care of all new employees and introduce them to the job in a welcoming way. The first impression of the new workplace can be decisive for how they will thrive with us. The faster they get started, the faster they can also help us achieve our common goals. New employees often tell how kind, nice and helpful everyone is - it warms !! In May, we received Bassam from the Steel Builder Training for APL. Jussi started as a blacksmith / fitter two days / week in parallel with his welding training. We hired Fasil who runs construction services together with Mosaad. In addition to this, Sam returned to work this summer before resuming his training as a heat smith. Things also happened in the office. At the end of May, David came to study the engineering modules with a focus on construction at the Vocational Academy. Affe came back and will run project management together with David and Richard. They formed a project team and will be helped with different parts of the projects.
    TIP AND SHARE
We need to be even more! Business is crowded and we have a hard time keeping up. We need your help to tip and share that we are looking for blacksmiths and fitters as well as project managers.
    NEW SALARIES
The salary negotiation is over. For the collective employees, the wage pool was 1.8 % for the first period of the agreement. During the negotiation, we agreed to make the first joint salary review of 0.4 %. The new salary applies from 1 April and will be paid to the midsummer salary. For salaried employees, we follow the levels in the salaried employees' agreement. During the first contract period, 2 % applies to salary increases. The salary increase will be paid from 1 May.
    ABSENCE IN SUMMER
During the summer, you must continue to report absence due to illness and VAB according to current practice (text message). Announce any changes in your leave in good time.
    NEXT
Register your times before you go on vacation. You who are a project manager must approve hours worked before your holiday.
LAST BUT NOT LEAST - OUR PROJECTS
In May, BLÅ GRUPPEN installed Weland stairs and continued with the expansion of the container garage at Jästbolaget. They continued with the forging to the outdoor air shaft and manufactured and assembled reinforcements in a stairwell. In addition to this, the group continued at Danderyd where a large assembly of Grid awaits. THE GREEN GROUP was almost finished with the first barrier kiosk at Södra station. The elevator shaft to the National Museum was completed for assembly. After assembly, they will dress it with brass and glaze with Hammerglass. The group continued with railings and lots for Nordea, which will soon be completed. They delivered the first three cups of clad window doors to the Housewife. In addition to this, the group made a door scope, a steel frame for a heat pump and mounted aluminum panels. THE RED GROUP was completed in Sturegallerian. For just over 30 nights, they have mounted wall sections and plates with brass moldings in the hallway from Stureplan. The result was fantastic! The group also installed wine racks at Magnusson Fine Wine. They made wine racks and table bases for Janax Snickeri and assembled brass clad sections on Lundagatan. THE YELLOW GROUP continued with KTH where they finished everything except the grid. They installed a spiral staircase at Huddinge Hospital and manufactured and installed a railing. They worked with variations and ventilation ducts and the service group was full as usual. This summer we will be full. Among other things, fire lots are waiting for Skeppström's building, installation of stairs with a glass railing for IBM, lots for the School of Architecture, Housewife, DS…. So fun!

    IT'S OKAY NOW

The whole of Stockholm is like a construction site and it is full of shops! It is going well now and also for LUNDGRENS. The first quarter showed fantastic figures and the March result landed at about SEK 1.5 million! It's great this early in the year and it feels extra fun considering that the result for 2016 was only SEK 600,000. We hope that the positive trend will continue. Many thanks to everyone who fought and contributed! Without you we would not succeed so well!

    NEW TALENTS

In April, Oskar started as a fitter in team Adam. Jimmy H and Ser-Od from the steel builder education started their APL. To cope with the pressure, we need to further strengthen the force. The recruitment of blacksmiths, fitters and project managers continues. In nine out of ten cases, the difference is between a successful recruitment and a less successful candidate's attitude and attitude to the job. That is, how the candidate fits into the gang and how he or she takes on his or her duties. It never has to do with a resume. We are looking for people who share our vision and our values. We are looking for skilled employees who can contribute to our development. Just before the turn of the year, Yosef H took the step and took over responsibility for the workshop, customer reception and small orders. He made a brilliant effort and quickly started running projects. Berhane will now relieve him of the responsibility for the workshop in order to provide you and our customers with even better service.

    GOALS AND VISION

Working at Lundgren's involves working with many different types of projects, both in size and in character. We always strive to achieve the best results and exceed customer expectations. It requires teams with a strong community and a culture characterized by commitment, interest, technical know-how and cooperation. The vision is for LUNDGRENS to become a place for skilled people in different areas to collaborate. The goal is for everyone to be able to control their everyday life and influence their development and work situation. It should be fun and meaningful to go to work.

    SALARY NEGOTIATIONS AND EMPLOYEE INTERVIEWS

It is starting to tighten up for wage negotiations. The union will arrive in early May to review the new agreement. Then there will be a salary negotiation. Those who want a salary interview will be able to book it before the new salaries are set. The goal is for the new salaries to be paid with the midsummer salary. Employee interviews will be held after the holidays.

    SOMETHING TO LOOK FORWARD TO

When there is a lot to do, it is important to have something fun to look forward to. All applications for holidays this summer are approved. In June, LUNDGRENS plans workshops in our initiative with 5 S. The day will end with our annual summer party. Also, remember to plan your team trips.

    OUR PROJECTS

April was an intense month. Blue group continued to work with Kv Hilton with the manufacture of two smaller mezzanine floors. They also received an additional order for forging for a fresh air shaft. Furthermore, the group continued with some smaller projects and began with the expansion of the container garage at Jästbolaget. They made edge supports in aluminum around trees at Ärvingeskolan for SAH Projekt AB. Furthermore, they received a number of smaller service jobs for Ebab. We hope that this will result in a longer collaboration. In May, production and installation of reinforcements in stairwells in project Kv Kabeln will begin. Adams team worked with completion forging. The team mounted MR plates and lighting equipment as well as attached steel frames above the suspended ceiling that will attach medical equipment. There is a lot of work and new challenges waiting! With the positive attitude, strong community, technical knowledge and skilled employees in the team, they will achieve a very good result! The green group were almost finished with the barrier kiosk in Jakobsberg and they started with two barrier kiosks at Södra Station. They also started assembling the glass railings inside Nordea. The project also includes seven parties. Furthermore, the group welded a stainless steel elevator shaft to be delivered to the National Museum. The glass is Hammerglass and the shaft must be covered with oxidized brass. Furthermore, the group continued with the parties to the Housewife. The red grouphelped with Husfrun and worked with brass parts for Lunda hotel. They made sauna parties for villa Mörk and continued with the wall in Sturegallerian. In addition to this, they made furnishings for a café for Janax Snickeri. The yellow group continued with the teaching house at KTH. The project started last autumn with grid flooring, cladding of windows and installation of plates and grids. There will be galvanized sheets and moldings around all windows and sheets and grilles. Small flowers fight their way out of the ground and the ice cream tastes extra good in the spring sun! When spring has arrived, it can not be winter again until it has been summer and autumn, despite minor setbacks in the weather… Summer is just around the corner and it is time to apply for a holiday. As usual, we will be open all summer.

    WONDERFUL FLORENCE

Relationships are important for us to be able to do a good job and for us to get a good result - it is connected! In March var red group away on a team trip. The team had time to socialize and build relationships in beautiful Florence that offered fantastic architecture, art and forging. Everyone shared their stories, goals and talents. There was also an opportunity to discuss things that are important to the business.

    REVISION EN-1090 - EXC3 AND ISO 3834-2

The audit went well. We introduced a new routine to facilitate deviation reporting. Instead of filling in a deviation form, you should email a picture of the deviation to 1090@smide.com with current work order number and a short description. At the same time, you notify the responsible project manager that you have sent a deviation. Adam, Gert, Jimmy and Richard are now responsible for the manufacture and assembly of steel building structures.

    WE ARE ALL SELLERS

Our customers pay your salary! All money that comes in to LUNDGRENS comes from the fact that we sold something to a customer. You are a salesperson no matter what you work with - when you answer the phone, work with recruitment, drive out stuff or assemble on a construction site. We sell in every contact with a customer or supplier. A good attitude, interest and commitment are crucial for us to succeed in building relationships, understanding the customer's needs and finding solutions. To increase sales to the desired level, we must WANT to sell and be the BEST at exactly what the customer wants!

    BUDGET

Now those responsible have been appointed to ensure that we are in phase with the set budget. Natalia is responsible for costs in finance, Richard for management, Johanna for personnel, Fuad for materials & cars, Yosef M for tools & machines and Yosef H for workwear. All purchases must be made in consultation with the person responsible and / or in accordance with the existing guidelines.

ATTRACT MORE TALENTS TO THE PROFESSION!

At the end of April, two participants from the Steel Builder Education will come to us for APL (workplace-based learning). They will alternate three weeks APL with one week theory until mid-September. We hope we can find talents who are interested in the profession! In today's increasingly digital society, we need to do what we can to attract more people to the industry and contribute to the genuine craft profession living on. We need to highlight the beauty of the profession and raise the trend factor! Feel professional pride in your craftsmanship no matter what new tools come into your hands.

    WELDING COURSES

We started running welding courses in MMA (stick welding) in collaboration with the citizens' school in the autumn of 2015. About a hundred welding tests have been added and as many welding test certificates have been issued! It has been a mixed bag of participants, everything from those who have never welded to those who want to complete the CV with a welding certificate. In March, a beginners course and an advanced course began. Another course starts in April. It is great fun with the great interest in the welding courses and that the participants are satisfied!

    OUR PROJECTS

What did we do in March? Blue group completed the work in kv Stora Katrineberg where inspection of the parties is ongoing. So far we have managed without remarks and the customer TL Bygg is super satisfied. The assembly of the flat steel for Lidingödepån and the Kv Kättingen wind conversion was completed. Furthermore, the group continued with the shaft for Kv Hilton and mounted forging for a handicap lift. Completion forging in the rebuilding of Danderyds hospital soft-started. Arne and Bahman keep the scaffolding out on the construction site. The group also made a few turns to On Track in Älvsjö to help NCC weld pillars. The group also started with diversions to a wind on Strandvägen. The green group continued with the barrier kiosk in Jakobsberg. They supplemented with ladders and grid flooring for the chamber house in Vårby. The group manufactured castings prior to the delivery of the elevator shaft to the National Museum and continued with copper cladding of the lots for the Housewife. Furthermore, the group did the "spring" recurring forging assembly for Café Opera's outdoor restaurant. The red group worked with wine places for Magnusson Fine Wine, brass lots for Lunda hotel and the steel / glass section for Blanchegatan. Furthermore, the group manufactured and assembled a door section and manufactured a railing to be assembled next week. The service guys had a lot of work around Greater Stockholm. They did a great job and all the customers were happy!

Make as many 5 S improvements as you can in April. Take on the mezzanine plane's challenge and you might be the 5 S winner of the month.
