Welding courses in Stockholm

We have welding courses for everyone, both for you who are a beginner or want to deepen your knowledge. You will find welding courses in TIG, MIG / MAG and MMA during the day, in the evening and on weekends. The courses are practically oriented and are interspersed with a small amount of theory. Our experienced welders hold the welding courses.

Our welding courses are aimed at private individuals, companies and schools and are held in our training room in Bromma or out at a customer's. We take up to 10 participants in our training room depending on the type of course. We are happy to tailor courses according to your wishes and arrange different types of welding events. Discounts can be given to larger groups. You can also buy a gift card for one of our courses.

We also arrange welding tests and in these we cooperate with an established third party for inspection and certification.

One evening a week we open our workshop for metal craft which is suitable for you who want to get started with a construction project or make a self-designed piece of furniture. It is also possible to repair your own objects or practice welding.

Welding methods

When welding, there are different methods and techniques to choose from. Common is that you use an electric or gas welder or a combined welder. The most common welding methods are:

• MIG / MAG
• TIG
• MMA

MIG / MAG

Gas Metal Arc Welding is better known as MIG or MAG welding and is one of the most common methods used today. A common method when it comes to home repairs, perhaps especially in cars and car plates. The methods are often used for welding aluminum and alloyed materials such as stainless steel. It can be used in all thicknesses of material and can be welded in all positions. The methods are fast and do not require much finishing work. However, the method is sensitive to rust and impurities that can cause pore formation in the weld. It is advisable to be indoors when using these methods as drafts can interfere with the welding process.

TIG

LPG welding or TIG welding is a fusion welding method that got its name from the English name Tungsten Insert Gas. The method is slower than metal arc welding. The advantage of this welding method is that it can give more qualitative results. If you are going to do welding work where the end result should be visually appealing, TIG welding is a suitable method. It can be used on all weldable materials and is often used for welding thinner materials precisely because it is a slower welding method.

MMA welding

MMA welding (pin welding) means metal arc welding and is the most common welding method used in both construction and design forging. It is used for several different metals and can be made with simple equipment. It is therefore a suitable gateway to welding because it contains all the steps of welding but still has relatively simple equipment. MMA welding is suitable for outdoor use and not as weather sensitive as other welding methods. It is therefore often used in repairs. It requires a certain habit as the welding method is slow.
