ABOUT LUNDGRENS SMIDE

Forging & glass in Stockholm since 1952 

Lundgren's history began in the small workshop in the garage in Storskogen in 1952. It was Alvar Lundgrens who started the company. In three family generations, Lundgrens has preserved the craft tradition and delivered complete solutions in forging and glass to both construction companies and private individuals in Stockholm and the surrounding area.

Our projects vary in both size and character and we do most of the work in steel, glass and forged constructions. Our specialty is advanced blacksmithing and glass work where we can contribute with new angles and help find the best solutions.  Our ambition is to always deliver a good project to a satisfied customer.

We are certified according to EN 1090-1 and 2 in execution class EXC 3. We have also approved certificates against ISO 3834-2 and are certified ISO14001. Our workshop is located in Bromma and with our central location, we can provide fast service. Lundgrens has 50 employees.

The group includes Bröderna Eddings Smide, which is an independent forging business that has operated in Stockholm since 1945. They manufacture all types of forging work in their workshop in Järfälla. Read more about them here.

Forge

Structural forging often comes into play at an early stage in projects. It is used both externally and internally in public environments such as schools, hospitals, offices, shopping malls, car parks, airports, etc. Lundgrens manufactures and assembles, among other things, steel structures, beams, transitions, facade forging, steel stairs and wrought iron railings. We can also carry out larger constructions such as larger houses, halls and bridges. We are certified according to EN 1090-1 and 2 in execution class EXC 3. We have also approved certificates against ISO 3834-2.

Glass and metal parts, steel doors and cell doors

Lundgrens has extensive experience in the manufacture and assembly of glass parts in various standard designs and according to unique needs. We offer complete solutions regardless of needs both indoors and outdoors. Lundgrens specializes in custom-made glass parts that we cover in different materials such as brass, copper or stainless steel. Our products meet current fire safety and environmental requirements.

We offer, among other things:

● glass walls
● industrial windows
● glass and aluminum facades (SAPA, SCHUCO etc.)
● sliding glass parts
● steel doors

We also manufacture and install cell doors with several security classes for different purposes. The doors can be equipped with various accessories such as an inspection hatch, kick protection and opening lock.

Furnishings

Lundgrens manufactures exclusive furnishings for both restaurants and private individuals. We collaborate with well-known architects and designers. Wine racks, glass racks, furniture, cooker hoods, clothes hangers, works of art etc. in brass, copper and stainless steel. We also have our own webshop where we sell self-designed forged products. You can find Lundgren's own Druva wine rack in some of Stockholm's most famous wine cellars. If you need tips and ideas, we are happy to help.

Servicesmide

We also perform service and maintenance work for, among other things, property owners, construction companies and administrators in Greater Stockholm. Everything from repairing burglary damage to doors and servicing locks to replacing doors and minor smithing work. We make sure to have a blacksmith on site quickly!

Welding course and welding event

Since 2015, Lundgrens Smide has conducted course activities in welding for private individuals, companies and schools. We also organize welding events for associations, companies, groups of friends, etc. We have courses that suit everyone, both for beginners and those who want to develop their welding skills.
